As ref fuckups go this was a big one and it affected the seeding and eventual results of the NFCCG and title. So I'm still pissed but on the other hand I'm not gonna act like the fans I detest of other teams who carry around this kind of BS and storyline it when their team comes up short.

Well, the premise of the OP wasnt to argue the merits of the 2 point call, it was about whether McCauley called in from the announcers booth to have them look at it. They were lining up for a kickoff when they were whistled off the field.
I see this is exactly what Puka had talked about. That refs are influenced by the big game moment to have their moment in the sun.
And more to the point, had this been a Sunday regional game with no McCauley jock sniffing in the booth, would the same result have occurred?

I don't care why they initiated the review. Though, it does lend credence to the opinion that the TV refs almost always side with the NFL refs because they're in cahoots. I care that Verse deflected the pass, it hit the ground, the refs blew the whistle, our guys stopped playing, and then they gave Seattle two points it didn't earn because Charbonnet moseyed over and picked the ball up to give to the official. That is bullshit.
