He was exceptional last year the Jags fans were very upset they didn't retain him. He hasn't matched that this year obviously but yes the Williams signing on paper when it happened was a very good signing.
I was happy about the signing.. and, perhaps, I'm being too hard on him.
But he's the wrong side of 30 and very undersized. He looked today like he's just not close to the same guy. Maybe he's hurt.. maybe he fell off the proverbial cliff.

Either way... 2 new corners are, by far, this team's biggest personnel need. I can't think of anything close that would impact the team more on a down-to-down basis.

He's been either really good or he's been bad I haven't seen any middle ground from him sadly. I too was excited for the signing and was hopeful Durant would have a good year.

Well I don't really watch the Jags so was he drawing the top wideout from the opposing offense last season?

The Rams must add a shutdown corner either in free agency or the draft, it appears to be this team's most pressing need.

6 points allowed in the first half! I'll take that every week.
Well the defense made enough plays for the win.

But our defense the last two games has allowed the other team to dominate the ball and TOP

Which is hurting our ability to score points.

However with the defense being so young and inexperienced - yesterday's result was strong.

They are playing a deep zone to prevent big plays. I’m not a huge fan of bend-don’t break defenses but it did work this week. One of the results of that strategy is you give up a lot of yards to short yardage plays.

Unfortunately, we also saw how the offense has to be clicking because that style of defense does not allow for as many offensive snaps.

I guess it’s what they got for now.

Yeah offense was clicking in 2nd half today and most of the game against the patriots.

However in those games the other teams had 140 plays to the Rams 106 plays.

They are young and hopefully will improve at getting off the field.

I don't mind it if you're very effective in the red zone and force a bunch of FGs.

I think they'll regret letting him walk, if they do.
Light line desperately needs one massive body, at least.. and he's still only 24 years old... the same age as Jared Verse.
He's only going to get better, imo.

That's why BB3 is going to get paid at least nine million per year for a long-term contract by some other team that can afford to pay him. Not many young talented free agents get re-signed by their team when they're like us. And you still have to consider re-signing guys like Turner, Nacua, Avila, and (maybe; I only say "maybe" because he'll be twenty-seven before next season) Young after this year.

I'm not sure about the number.. he's not an every down lineman... but definitely possible.
Similar snaps and performance to DJ Jones.

I could live with that number, personally. It's what the market calls for that type of player.

The other guys aren't up for 2 more years and who knows what will even be going on with the roster at that point? Pretty sure Stafford will be done by that point, to be honest.

He'd be paid like an every-down lineman. And I'd rather sign the guys to extensions next year. You have to make sure the bedrock pieces are in place: I can't imagine that Nacua isn't going to get a massive contract next year. And I haven't even mentioned K-Will yet; he'll be twenty-five all of next year, his contract ends next year, and it'll be a tough call to re-sign him or not.

Paying BB a significant salary when to date his typical season is either being a non-factor or turning it on during the latter half of said season, would be reckless. The dude has talent, no doubt about it. But I question his heart and that my friends is a bad reservation to have in one's mind going into FA.

On top of that this is a very deep DL draft. So I'd continue stacking young studs who do not require the coaching staff to challenge them to produce. Go get a widebody run stuffer midrounds and spend that cap space on something else we need.

He's had maturity issues in the past. It's why I compared his high-point to Albert Haynesworth - both good and bad - when we drafted him. BB3 has the potential to be dominant, but I do not want us to be the team who pays him. We're better off with another run-stuffer in the third or fourth round.

Yes. He's a four year veteran in this league and we're still throwing around "potential" with him. So I think he has reached that point where potential becomes a four letter word.

Agreed. Better that some other team pays the price and not us. We've let superior run defenders in A-Rob and Gaines go. BB3 isn't an exception because he's young.
