Yeah, FA priority is at least one quality CB and then draft a guy in the top 75.

Clean up the backend and this defense can be special.

The defense didn't force any punts in the 2nd half though.

However, I can't look at the defensive side with a bunch of young players and blame them much for the current state of the season.

Never know. They're young it might just take a little time for them to gel on the backend. Seems like a lot of miscommunication on broken plays

Yeah we expected to have to win a bunch of shootouts this year. I was not expecting a defense that can hold it's water while the offense keeps spilling it.

No doubt. But when your rush is this good just getting the coverages right will elevate them greatly.

Speights has a way to go. But isn't it nice to have some hope at ILB.

I was pleasantly surprised Monday night how many positive plays i saw Rozeboom making.

With as young and cheap the D is this year... They've got to take one more shot with Stafford next year.

The D front is just so much damn fun. Verse is just... EXACTLY what the team needed with Donald retiring. He's a beast, a difference maker, a tone-setter.. he's everything. I can't say enough about the young man.

There's a ferocity in this D and it is getting better.. I hope Speights has a sharp learning curve.. he's already looked better.. week-to-week.

The secondary could absolutely use a talent upgrade next season. If they nail that in the draft... look out.

The thing is it's not really "the secondary" but the CBs. We're loaded at safety. Curl, Kinchens, Lake, McCollough and JJ (who probably won't be here next year). Durant and D Will are decent. Wallace may improve in year 2. Nobody misses Tre Tomlinson and Kendricks, though I was never as down on DK as most.

And by the looks of the snap counts some are trending up, other down.

While I agree I'm not sure they'll add one of those or if they even want that type of player.
