It absolutely does and should to an extent...You can compartmentalize and try to focus maybe on other sports like basketball or baseball for example, that has helped me over the years and obviously increased responsibilities as work is a great healer IMHO combined with family enables one to lick their wounds and get ready for the following season.

Problem with the San Francisco 49ers for me was the Rams never got to a Super Bowl during the 70's with those great teams until the team was at the end of their run in 1979, then the 49ers finally make the playoffs for the first time in many years in 1981 and run the table, so that will bother me and last year the Rams had an incredable year, but it was tough to enjoy because of "The Call" and they played their worst game all year in they Super Bowl and now this...So again, Go Chiefs!
Go CHEFS!

The only silver lining for the 9ers winning the SB is it will give Cowboys fans (most of whom already seem to think they've won the most SBs) one less excuse for why they're the world's most popular sports franchise, apart from just being easy marketing victims.

I hate both the Chiefs and 49ers. I guess I have to root for the Chiefs, I feel like vomiting. I might not even watch the Superbowl, though that won't change anything.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Never truer than rooting for the Pats over Seattle and just as true now.

Though I am not a Chief hater for the record.

That roster is loaded and will be for some time. We don't have nearly the talent they do. Our running game is shot and our defense doesn't match up. Gonna be a rough few years chasing them.

The Niners took a risk on Dick Sherman and came up with Aces. He has one more year on that deal then turns into a 33 year old Free Agent.

So the Niners have one more year to their so called Dynasty.
Sherm isn’t as fast as he used to be, no matter what he says. He looked like he had a piano on his back on that long pass. Sherm is living off his smarts and a ferocious pass rush. It should be interesting cuz there’s no hiding from these kc guys.

Interesting take, the 9ers were fortunate to beat the Rams and Hags and lost to the cards who they should beat in their sleep.
Right now Seahag and Rams fans are thinking, shit, we coulda done better than what the Vikes and pack put out there.

It really grinds my gears that we have to hear about how great KC and the 49er are for the next several weeks on top of all the drooling over them that the media did all year for the 49ers and last year for the Chiefs. Yet a year ago the Rams couldn't get credit even during their undefeated streak. Instead of acknowledging the positive things LA was doing the highlighted the bad. Anytime the Rams beat someone it wasn't "the unstoppable Rams" it was "the Rams beat a team with a lot of deficiencies" it's ridiculous. Beating KC was quickly forgotten by anyone other than Rams fans. In fact the next day they were giving more credit to the Chiefs. The lead up to the superbowl was overshadowed by the "No Call" and all I heard was how the Rams didn't deserve to be there. Sorry about the rant it just pisses me off.

Did I think that the Rams would miss the playoffs this year after making it to the Super Bowl. BUT, I never in a million years would have guessed that the 49ers would go instead. They had been so bad, I didn’t see this meteoric rise at all. It stinks, and I hope that it hurts all the way down to the water boy. Our doomed belief that we could feather the clutch on Todd Gurleys usage by using him just enough to help us win, but not too much to harm him more. We played scared football by not getting a vet pounder to soften our opponents. Yes I’m angry, and watching the Niners take over after the Pats beat us doesn’t help. Just a missing the playoffs vent.

Get used to it !!! Mostert is just getting started & they are young & still going to be hungry!!! The Hags had a solid year as well.

Smead needs to get some playmakers. Look at what speed can do.

To me it's the beauty of pro football. You can turn it around in a hurry with the right pieces and coaching. I hate the Niners, but damn is that a well built team at the moment. Got Mike Person as a key cog in a dominating run game.
It's not lost on me that Shanny is killing it with jet sweep motion or a boot action on damn near every run. That ish works, keep doing it! Sean gets too cute and wants to throw the ball just cause he likes throwing. If Sean would commit to the running game with the same precision and detail he does to the passing game, the Rams would be unstoppable.

Build the O line, build the O line, build the O line...

doesn’t have the speed or the same players.

Then again The Rams had the 9ers beat if Greg the Leg hits that FG,and Goff with his Int late in the first half. The Rams still comeback on them. The 9ers would have had a wildcard road game.
The week off helped players comeback & now they are at full strength. Will see what there D” goes.

I’m still going to say I like The Rams young O”line they did what they had to do to beat the 9ers.
The Rams need playmakers & a better D” front. There young DB’s showed up as well and should keep improving.

Mcvay just got a new OC & DC.. That should help with the growth on both sides of the ball

McSnead really needs a solid draft. Giving away draft pick only puts more pressure on there results. Morgan Fox & all the Snisher guys must go except for the Hard Core like Donald & Goff bye-bye Brockers Greg the Leg,,Hekker,& Gurley

Also, I just realized something.

How the fuck does Ryan Tannehill get crushed by the criticism police for throwing less than 200 yards, but Jimmy Garawhatver does EVEN LESS and no one says anything?!

What the hell?!

GO CHIEFS.

Because the 49ers rushed for 280 yards @10.5 a carry. Jimmy simply didnt have to do anything. Why is this so hard for people to understand? If Gurley ran for 220 and 4 TDs, no one here would bat a freaking eye if Goff threw 8 times.

The thing that seems to be the big diefference is their running game and team speed.

Ryan Tannehill simply didn't have to do anything either. Way to dance ignore the double standard.

BTW, did you opt for the rush shipping on your SF NFC Championship gear?

Fix the OL to establish a good run game and add a DL partner for AD and we will be able to compete with the 49ers. Hell the Rams had them beat in week 16 in all but the final score.
