You speak as if it's fact so prove it. Provide a link that shows me where it says you can't trade an involved pick until the conditions have passed.

And if/when you can't do that, I'd appreciate it if you could stop being so condescending in your posts when you don't know as much as you think you do.
My example, now no longer above, now PAGES back probably, LOL

This "condition" dosent prevent ANYTHING the Rams want to do transactionally with other teams, AND other teams will be compensated as agreed upon as if the 2029 1st Round exists in actuality. If Rams want to go in on a Bonanza Franchise Quarterback deal all remaining Draft Capital will be available INCLUDING the conditional 2029 1st Round pick which will NEVER be dealt, as we simply dont deal Garrett to the aforementioned 3 teams.

Ill take this trade everyday and twice on Sundays!!
It’s unbelievable to me that anyone is not heavily in favor of this deal. Verse is not the two-time defensive POY and they had to get rid of at least one lineman soon, so it was Verse or Young most likely, and they could have had nothing in return.

I'm sorry its simply amazing that this concept escapes people. You've promised one team a pick and you can turn around and offer the same pick to somebody else.

I'm at a loss for words on this.

Of course, I could get a hell of a good look at a T-bone steak by sticking my head up a bull's ass, but I'd rather take the butcher's word for it

Condescension :check:

Comprehension :prohibited:

It's not that simple and I've spelled out why but since you've decided to completely ignore the points given and are unable to provide any proof or evidence of what you think is fact, I think we're done here.

Again how is it possible to offer the same pick to two teams. You can be as sparky as you want t just as I will be. But it makes no sense at all no matter how you want to spin it.

This contract stuff is more difficult for me to understand every year.

It's probably another by-product of aging.
The Bad is that I get confused more often and easily. The Good is that I usually don't give-a-damn.

I would assume for Garrett its a way to pay him more this year while freeing up some of the burden next year. Doesn't really matter for us actually - we could have rolled some cap dollars over I believe (i.e. whatever we don't pay him this year, just rolls over and offsets the higher cap hit next year).

But I'm here for it....I REALLY want to extend a few guys this summer, and knowing it typically is the summer lull when we attempt to do that, this gives me some hope

It's simple. You make the pick conditional.

Team A receives Team B's pick unless that pick conveys to Team C under a previous trade, in which case Team A receives a different pick.
