The second half Chargers weren't playing starters anymore.
Mannion got in in the 2nd quarter when their starters was in and they was into the third not all their starters but a lot was still out there.

And besides it's a lot tougher playing guys that's not half assing it out there, and Mannion is also playing with our 2nd and third stringers too playing with a terrible 2nd unit oline, but he continues to make plays

I like Mannion between the 20s but when he gets inside the red zone it just appears to me that he doesn't have the necessary arm strength to zip it in there on tight windows. We always seem to come away with field goals inside the 20 when Mannion is QB.
What about the penalties and fumbles that had more to do with it then Mannion I bet if Mannion was playing with the ones he would have more

I would like to see Mannion with Robinson, Hurns, Lee and Westbrook. That would be unreal. You'd def find out if he's starter material with those guys.
I don't know if McVay would even pull the trigger on that trade if it was being offered, I would and just hope Goff doesn't get hurt

-he puts his receivers on death row with his passes
We call those "medicine balls"....cause guys end up in the hospital from trying to catch them.

Didn't see enough....didn't get in the endzone when needed....and we had Pharoh & Reynolds out there with him in the 4th quarter.

I did see some good...but I saw enough bad to know the guy doesn't have it. 3 years and he struggles getting the team in the endzone...Worse thing about it?....we're considering him to replace our #1 pick.

Depends what the offer is. If it's Mannion for a 2. I would hope he rejects. Because....Dan Orlovsky. But if they called and said Mannion for a 2 and Chad Henne. I'd pull the trigger. At least get a decent backup in the trade.

Let's just hope we don't have to play Mannion at all . If he does it would mean that Goff is injured or has failed miserably

We're....as in "we are"...as in we are actually discussing our backup QB....in the event he has to come in the game...to replace our #1 draft pick...and you can be sure...that if a few talking heads are doing it on a blog...then Sean McVay....Lafluer....Olsen....and whoever else runs the offense has/is/ or will be discussing it as well

He'll probably play this year if the O-Line doesn't tighten up. When is the last time the RAMS had a QB start and play all 16 games in a season?

Sam Bradford, 2010 rookie season..OROY

Lol here comes the third stringer argument when in fact Mannion played against a lot of their starters after Goff got pulled. He made way more good throws then bad throws at least his bad throws don't turn out to be interceptions and most of the time they are still caught

So now I can't say it was against third stringers.;)

The second half Chargers weren't playing starters anymore.

I'll let the Champion say it.

Mannion has come a long way. He has gotten his reps in games and at camp. He was 16 of 29 for 214 yards. The long pass TD to Reynolds was sweet. He didn't light it up but didn't mess up either.

He didn't play his rookie year and last year in the preseason when he did play he did a lot scoring in the red zone.

The fact remains is that argument is the same thing I heard last year when Goff couldn't score a touchdown and Mannion was sometimes you gotta give credit for a guy beating the people in front of them all while playing against these 3rd stringers who are hungry and trying to make a team unlike playing against 1st stringers hoping not to get hurt. If you watch the game you notice that it's a lot faster and the hits are a lot harder with those 3rd stringers

His only play is/was/has been preseason play....except for a few snaps here and there...So he did play preseason in his rookie year. He played preseason last year...He's playing preseason this year. That's 3. If he was any good...he'd have played during the last 3 years. If he was any good, he'd score more TD's vs 3rd stringers.

I know that Mannion went in during the second quarter, I'm just saying he spent most of the day, including when he looked best, against non-starters.

I'd say you're moving the goalpost a bit with the "tougher playing guys that aren't half assing it" bit as well.

Lol you too funny, he barely played his rookie year he has 7 touchdowns passes in his preseason career and I swear you seem to think he has been playing with starters he is also playing with 3rd stringers lol he has as many touchdowns damn near as Goff in preseason and regular season

Totally not true but whatever. He checked down to rb and barely got in to fg range in 1st half and there were no starters left in the game in his solo td drive. He was fortunate they called his fumble an incomplete. He made a great throw to Reynolds no doubt, so kudos on that. But his routine is wearing thin. He is a check down machine until the 3rd stringers are in and then he gets aggressive
