You’re Wrong, listen to Mcvay explain it. Then again Mcvay said he can’t hear what’s going on in Mayfields ear? He said he might have been pissing them off? He Stafford was in the headset. Weather that is true or not ?

Mayfield would step out of the huddle then step in with the play call. You could see that part of it.

So if you add in all the Chargers owe, plus the things they should be paying like his rent at SoFi, they are BK.

Yeah, there's a difference between not paying because one doesn't have the money and not paying despite having the money. The latter is sometimes referred to as having deep pockets and short arms. (Or yeah, the result of a business dispute).

Between 2021-2022 the Chargers gained about 1 Billion dollars in value (https://www.forbes.com/teams/los-angeles-chargers/?sh=37ad46386264).

Earlier this year, the Chargers broke ground on a huge new practice facility in El Segundo. (https://sportsbusinessjournal.com/Daily/Issues/2022/05/19/Facilities/Chargers.aspx) I don't think anyone is going to say that land or construction costs in CA are inexpensive.

The role of the NFL finance committee is to make sure that teams don't take on too much debt and solve monetary woes (e.g., "The finance committee also controls how much debt ceiling an NFL owner is allowed to take on in terms of NFL projects. For example, the finance committee allowed Stan Kroenke to take on more debt as he sought to complete his new mega-stadium in Los Angeles. The committee also works internally to solve monetary woes. Jerry Jones cost the NFL $2 million in legal fees to fight the Zeke Elliott suspension as the Cowboys owner fought Roger Goodell. The league’s finance committee worked to make Jones reimburse the league." https://arrowheadaddict.com/2019/02/14/clark-hunt-nfl-financial-committee-what-it-means/).

While the NFL finance committee may have waived debt limits related to relocation, it hasn't taken any action to address any monetary woes, if any, as far as I know.

I'm pretty sure the Chargers are financially ok.

People file petitions in probate court all the time. The other side frequently files a response. Neither document should be considered gospel.

Don't the Rams have to be a bad team for multiple years to get those 'multiple high draft choices'?
At this point "any" first round pick is a "high" pick for the Rams. Kinda sick of us not having any.
We actually did mortgage our future for that Super Bowl at home.
We got it, but no free lunches.
I am not one of those guys who thinks its OK to sell out for ONE Super Bowl.
The whole time the media said we were selling out for this game I thought they were full of it. But they were kinda right, I had my rose colored glasses on.
Its not like I am sad we got it but I would rather have 3-4 Super Bowls over the next few years with drafted long term players. Real Rams in my book. It means more, it can be done. Patriots did it so its not pie in the sky stuff.
I think the Rams brass over valued that 2021 Super Bowl at home.

I don't think we sold out - I just think they went in the wrong direction in the 2020 and 2021 drafts by only picking 1 OL in those two drafts and that guy was in the seventh round

I would be of the complete opposite mindset and also believe planning for 3-4 Super Bowls is very pie in the sky.
Get a Championship when you can. They’re rare.

I'd settle for what we had the last 5 years... a very good team, exciting on offense, AD and Ramsey on defense, always went to the playoffs and also went to 2 super bowls. In the news every week because they are so damn good. Ahh.. the good ole' days -lol.

This year has been tough year and I do not envy McVay or Snead with the decisions that have to be made this offseason. Can they pull another rabbit out of their hats? Time will tell but I would not bet against them. I just don't know how they are gonna do it without a lot of cap room or high draft picks.

I agree it's not high enough to get the blue chips, hopefully a good player drops to us....and we make the pick.

Isn’t that always the case?

Daniel Hardy is getting a couple reps now,so my hope is he flashes within the next 4 games.

He doesn't look big enough to me.

I agree in that sense,he has speed & might be better suited as more of a OLB/LB? Hard call as of now,but odds are against him.
He is on contract for awhile,so those reps will be important for his future.

I am about long term power. You are of the mindset of the current generation. "I want it now" and will sacrifice anything it takes for short term satisfaction.
We have the coach and owner to give us a modern day NFL Dynasty. That is what I want and to get that done it requires a attention span longer than of a small rodent. And draft picks.
You mad bro ?

Spare me the analysis.

The objective is win the Super Bowl.
We saw what “long term power” looked like in the 70s… and got nothing.

You play to win titles.
The Rams won.

Are YOU mad the Rams won a Super Bowl? Because it sure sounds like it.

I’ll disagree that titles don’t mean everything. I LOL at Dodger fans that believe it.
—Glad The Rams won it all & not upset they are losing now.I’d say if trimming through the crap to get to what will make The Rams winners again sooner than later,I’m also happy about.

I disagree. The Rams won two championships since 1951. I'd sell out any time to get a title. If the Rams had done that and rebuilt every single time, we'd have more than two championships. Frankly, if Vermeil hadn't retired after SB 34, I think we would have won another one under his watch. Martz had too much ego to make adjustments and wanted to win in his way. The cheaters had 8 defensive backs in the game and he didn't unleash Faulk and the running game to make them stop it.

Can you imagine that Oline and Faulk against 3 D linemen and 8 DBs? They'd get blown off the ball. You go tempo so they can't substitute without a timeout. After they put back the base defense, Warner would have eaten them for lunch.
