Don't have to accuse since they admitted it.Like the old adage goes,
If you can't beat em...
Accuse them of cheating.
Oh wait, that's the new age thinking. Lol

Stealing signs is stealing signs. The whole thing is a joke. Using technology? Cmon.Don't have to accuse since they admitted it.
Stealing signs within the rules is a very legit part of the game. Using any technology to aid in the stealing has always been against the rules. In other words more cheating from Boston. Probably only the tip of the cheating iceberg of the Cheat Sox.
As for that former Cardinals employee the difference is he acted alone and not with the permission or acquiescence of team management.

I'm embarrassed that my team started all this.
You're wrong. So so wrong. It is illegal to use any technology, period. So you can't have a spotter in the bleachers or scoreboard that conveys the sign (pitch) to the batter no matter the method of signaling used. You can't have any electronic devices to convey info to the batter.....like an ear piece etc. What is legal is for the runner on second base to signal (without electronics or other technology) the batter as to what pitch to expect and possibly where. That is why the battery will frequently (for the Cardinals) change the signs with a runner on second base. There is more than one set of signs for backup since both teams have video replay in their clubhouse that batters can watch during a game and thus determine signs used. Thats why the runner at second base can necessitate a new temporary set of signs.Stealing signs is stealing signs. The whole thing is a joke. Using technology? Cmon.
He acted alone and did so to see if the Astros were using the Cardinals proprietary information. He was immediately fired and upon admitting guilt was sentenced to prison. That in no way sounds like anything a Cheatriots fan would say! See a Cheatriots fan has the league office destroy evidence to stop any real investigation cold!Of course it different, it's your team. That's why I try to be careful when calling teams cheaters. If it's your defense is that said employee acted alone then you now sound like a Patriot fan......sorry. If your guy didn't get busted information gained would have been for the Cardinal organization.

Really? What was won? See you're wrong again.Mountain out of a molehill
Not like they hacked somebody. Now THAT is cheating
Speak English please.Really? What was won? See you're wrong again.
Pull your lip up over your head and swallow. Or use a dictionary.Speak English please.

Own it. Cheat Sox.

I disagree about the "lazy" and the "minor infraction". They wanted to maximize run production with a baserunner in scoring position and they achieved it. By cheating. It was definitely stupid since rosters are constantly changing and something like that will get out.Red Sox were quilty of being lazy and stupid, bottom line. Minor infraction but a bad look for a team that has acted like a bunch of beaches this year. Not a proud time right now for Sox fans
Don't smear another team with Cheat Sox and Cheatriots stink. Hacking into another business computer system is a crime. It isn't a cheat. Videotaping opponents practice and illegally obtaining signs is against the rules, i.e. cheating.Sox did own it. Now why don't you? Patroit fans have no control over what the league does. What Patriot fans do is deny, excuse, deny. What you have done is deny and excuse lol. Lots of synergy going on here.
Imagine the Cardinals fired the guy who went to jail for hacking. How forward thinking of them lol. No fooling around in that front office!!! Yes this paragraph should be blue but I'm on my phone

Ok. Sober up and we'all try againPull your lip up over your head and swallow. Or use a dictionary.
No it isn't a cheat. It was a crime. No on field advantage was gained. The hack was to see if proprietary info was being used by the Astros. He claims he found proof of it.....regardless it was stupid and a crime.Ok, your right. What the Sox did is not a jailable offense lol. Your boy hacked scouting info, the opitimy of cheating. Not only is it cheating is unethical. You called out an entire city, so man up and own the fact that BS happens in St Louis too.

It is going on 16 years since that city embraced the theft of Super Bowl 36. I won't stop calling it what it was...... cheating and theft.
Boston is awesome.I get it, your a typical fan. You will defend your team at all cost. Its no different than what a Patriot fan does. There is nothing wrong with it. My only issue was your attack on Boston. Perhaps you are jealous. Boston has won like 10 Championships in the last 14 year and lost in 3 or 4 finals. Thing is you are ticked at the city. We fans have not done anything, we dont play the games we just root for the teams....just like you. Boston fans are guilty of enjoying an unprecedented period of success. I agree the Patriot SBs are tainted but Im not a Patriot fan, so I get their side too. You insist in looking through your lens and refuse to acknowledge your own teams mis steps. Patriot fans are just like you. They defend, say its not a big deal, they were railroaded, etc, just like you have done in this thread.
My only point is dont rip my city. Fans are fans and will protect their team, just like you protect yours.
Im not going back and forth any more, its just a conversation that will go in circles. The title of this post is the only reason I even responded in the first place. I hope you would consider changing the title of this thread...thats all.
