I went on a Card's forum and talk about some funny shit. Blaming the refs for the loss and Kyler "having an off night". LMAO
I don't follow them but I've watched them enough to know that if you take away his two short reads, and contain him he will force the ball. Both of his INTs were forced passes. It wasn't an off night for Kyler, his deep balls are inconsistent, and the more he's frustrated the more he forces the ball. HELLO Cardinal Fans.....That's the book on Kyler. It's how you beat him.
Many couldn't believe how a big dude like Gaines could run with Kyler. I guess they don't know he did the same with Lawrence. He did the same at UW so it didn't surprise me. He's made SJD, and Robinson expendable this off-season.
When Morris plays his DB's tight they deliver. When he backs off the opposition marches down the field. He still doesn't get it. Morris did as much as anyone to keep the Cards in the game. Both he and DeCamillis need to go next year.
What this game showed is exactly what I've been preaching all season. This team is deeper than almost everyone thinks. They simply have to be played to their strengths. There is only one irreplaceable player and that's Donald. Miller is making his presence felt in that he can do more than simply rush the passer.
It's clear that Jones is going to be their starting MIKE going forward. What he lacks in athleticism he makes up for with instincts.
It's also clear that Hopkins won't make this team next year and they could potentially move Harris back to TE or draft one. Personally, I'd rather leave Harris at WR and make them 5 deep at the position. It's also clear that Mundt won't make the team next year either if Blanton gets more consistent with his hands.
I think they have their returner in Powell.
Other than injuries or Covid, there is no reason to think the Rams can't run the table. Remember the Cards still play Dallas and Indy, either of which could beat the Cards. It's not beyond reason to think the Cards won't end up 12-5. So the Ram's can't let down and still have a decent shot at the division.
Next week we all need to root for Goff to put a dagger in the bird's heart. If Kliff keeps managing the game like he did tonight, they could lose 3 of their last 4. The idiot didn't take the 3 earlier in the game and again with over a minute remaining. Seeing as how they recovered the onside kick that would have given them a short field and over a minute on the clock. It could have changed the whole outcome and that isn't lost on the Card faithful. He's already being roasted in AZ.
