What a fucking unbelievable moment, what an electrifying call.

Larry Merchant's comment shortly thereafter (not in this video) that "this was a 2-1 fight but I thought it was a zillion to one that George Foreman would every be heavyweight champ again" really drove home the significance of this moment.

"Five seconds left in the game. Do you believe in miracles!??
YES! Unbelievable" ~ Al Michaels.

This was the greatest moment in sports for me and it wasn't even the gold medal round in 1980. No way this try hard amateur hockey team could beat the mighty Soviets, they said. It was such a collective National moment among all political stripes as we emerged from dark economic times. I'm not even a huge hockey fan, but it's hard to describe how great it was, if you weren't there...
1. Miracle on Ice
2. 1999 Super Bowl Rams
3. Vin Sculley's call in Game one of the 1988 World Series.

I actually agree with all 3

Well done, whippersnapper, but that last second Landon Donovan goal in the WC vs Ghana pretty exiting and definitely deserves an honorable mention

Just seeing Michael Moore on his back is pleasing...oh crap, never mind

Truth be told that was a great moment for the 40 plus crowd, ole George is probably a few years older than me
