2. McVay has described Higbee as a "glue guy' and a great leader. If Higbee is willing to play ST, that sends a good message to everyone else.
Higbee is not the player he once was because of age and the physical toll of playing in the NFL for as long as he has. That said, younger players could learn a lot from him about being a pro.

I forgot but not intentionally we spent a 2nd round pick on another TE Klare from Ohio State. Are we gonna use him ever? The Ferg is out a bit I saw. The current NFL YOU should damn well expect your 2nd round pick to contribute. Side note. I really wanted Tutu Atwell to at least be out there. I must be the dumbass then. Something's puzzling there.
Yeah it's aggravating because as solid as the rest of the TE group are at overall blocking and being where they are supposed to be in the pattern, they're not bringing anything special in terms of moving the chains.

Ferguson was just starting to establish himself when he hurt the ankle. But once you pull him out of there the rest are very underwhelming. They're all fine for quick stop routes and short passes in the redzone, but in terms of moving the chains for this offense to make up for the loss of Nacua they don't really move the bar. Ferguson wasn't quite there either, but he was starting to look like he was gonna emerge in that role for us.

So that means everything comes down to Adams. And he's done a decent enough job, but if you want to stop our offense just focus in on Adams. Well and also stop the run but that's generally something most defenses can do to us at least well enough to make McVay abandon the run.

I get that Klare isn't ready. And it sucks because he has the basic traits you're looking for in that slot role over the middle. He's got the natural shakes in/out of breaks for his size, the smooth movement and good hands. We need that in this offense. So it's a damn shame he isn't ready to provide it yet.

Honestly, special teams is so bad and has now cost us so many games, maybe we SHOULD use starters more. Kyren returning punts would be fine if he can not let them hit the ground like Smith seems to do multiple times a game....Corum can start the series.

Throw McDuffie or Watson (or whoever would be the best at it) out there as gunners when its a critical play (when we're backed up for example).

We have to get this fixed, and what we're doing is not working

It's early still. It's a low down dirty shame Myles Garrett's injury happened. By the time he gets back it MAY BE too late for the Rams to even compete. AND We got AD99 out of retirement. He's not gonna do it again next season. The life as a Rams fan.
