Can't prove anything now because its all silent mode in the rams organization right now.

But if I could bet a large chunk of money on the notion that they discussed a leave of absence.

I'd put it down without second thought.
Obviously I can't say you're wrong but I can't recall a single time this kind of thing has happened without there being a medical or suspension issue.

I highly doubt SK entertained the thought of giving a leave of absence to a key cog in his organization so that he could decide if he could continue to do the job in this huge of a position.

yeah I've never heard of it before either. But one of the people that reported it was Schrags - who i feel has a good relationship with mcvay.

Yet he's been wrong every step of the way on the Rams post season. I think Schrags (sp?) banks on being an insider while Jordan R is the one scooping him at every turn with real insight. Sorry, but to me, Schrags is using this insider bit as a way to be more relevant when he really is not.

What did he say that was wrong?

Jourdan in the Rams beat writer - she better be more connected than Schrags or something is wrong.

Schrags was at McVay's wedding for example...

he wasnt wrong here

I like Schrager but if you watched and listened to him a lot over the past couple months, he pretty-much covered all the bases regarding McVay's future ... he might stay ... he might leave ... he might take some time off and then come back ... or not.

As long as McVay did not become a Tibetan Monk, Peter Schrager could say ... 'I told you so'

well that was the truth though...

He didn't pretend like he knew something one way or the other like some did.

When you cover all the bases, it's almost impossible to be wrong.

I watched the clip above where Schrager said McVay would return in 2023. However, I was also watching Good Morning Football earlier this week (think it was Tuesday) when Schrager said McVay was undecided and would take some time to think about it.

Schrager said ... 'If you asked me two months ago, I would have said McVay would definitely return in 2023.'
Well, the above clip was two months old. So again, he was never wrong; and he did not claim to know for sure (agree with you there) but he was only right if you cherry-pick.

By-the-Way, this past Tuesday, in explaining that McVay would take some time to decide, Schrager also said ... 'it could be days ... it could be longer'. Again, covering all-the-bases.

I am a Schrager fan; and there are not many national talking heads I can say that about.

Moving forward, thrilled McVay is still the Rams' Head Coach; and anxious to see what the Organization does in the off-season with coaching and player personnel.

Love me some ROD polls. Love public ROD polls even more though.

Closed discussion. Glad to have our HC back.
