McVay expected them to change their strategy (Denver) against the run, but they went all out to defend the pass. It's one of those weird "why?" moments. McVay just isn't that guy that wants to grind a team down. But sometimes it pays off when you do. As smart as he is, he might have felt continuing to run the ball would wear us down in the altitude. But we aren't on his level, so how could/would we know.....

Did anybody happen to notice McV on the sideline taking blame for that disastrous playcalling when the Rams turned the ball over deep in our own end of the field?

IIRC he mention it in his press conference. Something that he shouldn't have made that call or been so aggressive.

Up 20-3 with just over 2 minutes to play in the 3rd quarter at your own 10 yard line you don't want to have a turnover to allow the Broncos to get back into the game. You have J Hekker on the bench who can punt it to the other side of mid field. Playing it safe is not sexy but, sometimes the smart thing to do. At least make them earn the points and take time off the clock. After the INT I said to myself they let them back into the game.

At the same time it is nice that McVay is aggressive. Goff has competed many 10+ third downs before. Most were not inside the Rams 15 yard line. It's knowing when and when not to push it.
