Yep, he and McCord are two others. Not sure what the knock on Howard is, maybe overall accuracy? He has size & mobility and he won big, albeit with a great roster. Will Howard could be that guy if he’s still around when pick 100ish comes around.

Its an interesting situation really. As Breer pointed out, it's not just picks... it's picks + longterm cap health, which creates a longer window, on one side, vs Stafford and being close to win it now.
The organization would have to have the belief that they can find that player fir a longterm answer and that McVay can develop him. Much like Shanahan did with Purdy. Its an interesting situation really.
Extending the window with a young team, picks and cap space certainly makes sense (and speaks to McVay being here long term)....however, replacing Stafford with a player who may never come close to ability.....do have much of window?

Agreed. He will feel that change at QB if it happens but he's the guy to have running this show.![]()
"FUCKING DIME" No fucking way they let him go. Everyone is just doing their due diligence.
Everything he touches in the last 4 seasons turns to shit. I wouldn't want to get anywhere near that...I don’t like Rodgers as a person but he is a bridge option should Stafford be traded. Not so with most other available vets.
He's always been known as a hard guy to deal with then later in his career as toxic in GB. It's not an either or NY. Both he and the Jets were toxic with each other. Was the toxic culture killing nonsense a product of where he was or has he always been known for this. It seemed to me that he was trying to take charge because it was the f'ing Jets, a notoriously poorly run/owned team with a very weak head coach. I could be wrong on that, I Just don't remember this as a problem in Green Bay.
I wouldn't bother with Rodgers unless you could get him very very cheap and he would compete with Jimmy G. He is 41 and might have 1 year left in him, maybe. It would be a dumb risk to take him on anything but the cheap imo...
I listened to the whole thing. It's clear that everyone's preference is a deal with the Rams. I'm more convinced than ever that he's gauging his market. The Rams will let another team set the market and will get near enough to that number that Matt stays here. IMO.
