Elm, I disagree with most of what you've posted on this thread, but I give you credit for sticking up for civility.
But when our (terrific) head coach is being criticized in ways that are unfair and misguided, for many of us it gets our dander up. To use your word-- I felt like some posters were "belittling" our head coach. Given what he's accomplished, and how he has essentially rescued this franchise, that's outrageous.

Generally, I don't believe in sarcasm as the best way to handle disagreement. But on rare occasions, when criticism is over-the-top, it's understandable.
To me it's a board about boasting, criticing, venting, gloating, cheering, etc. we should not take anything personally it's all about opinion and if some of us don't agree or even adamantly disagree as long as you make your point in a way where your not being a jerk or condescending or superior to me arguing is fine that's what this whole board should be about there are times we ban to together and there are going to be times where we want to kill someone lol. To me everyone should be free to say what they want within specific boundaries of respect and knowledge. We aren't always going to agree but it should be noted that this is all supposed to be for us fans negative and positive. If someone is overly negative let them get the opinions or disagreement from the other board members because inevitably smarts and strength in numbers will show. That's just my opinion I wouldn't sweat it.

I can’t believe our coach has only gotten us to 11-1. You can throttle every team in the league if you only have your players ready to play. Every play will work and no defense can stop anything you do. Man our coach sucks. I’m tired of sugar coating it. The honeymoon is over.
