I’m not sold on Simpson at all. But you can make a case for the rams selecting him - whether that’s at 13 or 29.

The top talent is not that crazy high here.
They eventually need a QB.
Next year, sure lots of QBs. But will a guy they like available when they pick.
Getting someone in now, with this staff and learning from stafford is extremely valuable.
If he pans out, you have your QB post Stafford making $5M instead of the 40-70M other teams have to pay their QBs. That’s a huge advantage cap wise and team building around said QB.

If McVay likes him and thinks he can be his starting QB to win in this league, then I’m in. Having extra money (30-65M) to spend on OL, WRs, RBs around him to make him better would be huge. Rather than relying solely on the QB to do everything like mahomes or Allen is forced to do.

Lol, what?
So you're saying its a better indicator of performance against the lowest level of competition? Good grief. Bennett was disappointing in that game and got let off the hook by getting a miracle 2nd chance. Was fun to watch, but folks got to be honest about what he is
Alas, it all works itself out

Btw, Bennett DID actually play with starters in that 1st half, Corum, Xavier Smith, Mumpfield etc
You said he was playing against 2nd and 3rd team or people that wasn't making the team. All I said was that he was also playing with 2nd and 3rd team player too. When did Corum, Smith, and Mumpfield became 1st team starters? He was 8 TD to 2 INT. Tell me which young QB that doesn't have problem coming into this league. I just want to see what he does in new year.

I'd rather take a shot on Simpson then an OT that we keep getting mocked.
