I do think that our D finally is back based on last weeks performance. Hawks won't score more than 17 if we don't turn the ball over. One thing that we haven't mentioned is the hawks middle lb #3 got hurt the last time we played them so that is big for them. I expect this game to have a lot less points scored. I hope we take the points this game. They are going to be precious. FGs can be ok to settle for sometimes.

I’m sure the criteria to determine the MVP is multidimensional, but I'm gonna start with what I consider criteria 1/criteria 2:
1) QB on a top 5 NFL Team.
2) Total Passings Yards/TDs/INTs comparison

Oh that D is going to be fired up. Stafford and the gang need to keep their heads. Focus on 1 play at a time and make them think Deja vu without the punt return and all that.
Yep. Need to wear their asses out with blitz beater after blitz beater and long drives.

i think i heard somewhere in the 2 reg season games that the rams had 950 yds total against the vaunted seatlle D...

stafford had 6 tds and no ints...

darnold had 3 tds and i cant remember how many ints... (memory stats, so sue me if im wrong)

rams won both games but were robbed in game 2....

my 2 cents...
rams gonna win..
go rams

Well, our QB played like an MVP last night. Nick Wright made a comment Friday that Matt Stafford (and the Rams offense) hadn't played a good game in postseason and they were due. How right he was. Our MVP had 2 mediocre games and then that one last night. How good was it? That was his second highest postseason QB rating as a Ram. Undoubtedly under worse conditions last night, as in his highest game, he only threw 17 passes because we had a 21-0 lead at the half. That was certainly, MVP-franchise QB-HOF stuff last night. Hope he's back for another go next year!!!

WTF does that have to do with Stafford's performance? Why not keep that shit in the vent thread! This is the soon-to-be celebratory MVP thread.

It was wasted, that's why its on here. I feel bad that Stafford put up a great performance and will be celebrated as MVP while not competing for a Superbowl like he should be. I'm sure Stafford will appreciate the MVP, but it loses a lot of luster when there's no championship involved. Also why are you yelling? I'm just speaking facts about everything as a whole. That special teams blunder really put us in a bind in what is always a close game vs Seattle....So sensitive :laugh4:

By the way, in the press conference, McVay definitely expressed he wants Stafford and reports were out before the game that Stafford is coming back. If I'm a betting man, he's coming back after sniffing another Superbowl.

No it's on here because some folks get so pissed off about a loss, they feel obligated to pollute every fucking thread with their whining and anger. We all know the great season didn't end with a Lombardi. Q: How many MVP seasons have? A: 1 of the last 25

Sounds like you're letting it get to you for some odd reason which you really shouldn't but that's on you there. Me personally I'm going to get that everyone's going to express their gratitude towards the season in different ways whether it's being completely positive and avoiding the negative while some are going to state obvious facts on why we lost which is where I'm at. I'm pretty sure as we get further away from the loss we're going to hear less about the specific reasons why we lost and where the improvements need to be. With that said I'm personally not too worried about Stafford coming back because in my heart I feel he will. He definitely had a great season and that's nothing to sneeze at but it truly hurts this moment because he deserved to play for the right to get another ring.

I'm not "letting it get to me". If I want to vent or read venting, there's a vent thread. And why is there a vent thread? To keep all the guys who've "let it get to them" from polluting every other fucking thread on the site. Or did I get that wrong?

We're talking about a thread for our MVP QB. Does that really deserve "venting" from the playoff loss? Really? Or is it just some guys get into that mode and can't seem to find their way out of it? There will be multiple threads on this site about fucked up that loss was and what we need to do to fix this problem that ended in a shitty way this season. There's going to be plenty of places for fans to exhibit their GM knowledge.

By your responses, yes its getting to you. Fuck it, just let it go. You don't like what I posted, ignore that shit then. Am I supposed ro apologize for being such a Ram fan that it bothers me that another player shit the bed and affected our MVP from playing in a Superbowl? No one is polluting anything. I feel for Stafford and all Rams fans, myself included, because he's the MVP and at the worst should be showcasing that MVPness on the Superbowl stage....by the way, I'll be on here celebrating it once it's announced (unless they somehow crown Maye, yuck lol) but in the back of my mind will be that annoying should have could have thoughts

It's all good. I understand you can't help it. You have to do you.
If only the venting could be contained to the vent thread. Alas the MVP award voting isn’t affected by the post season so it’s not really worth discussing it here. With Maye being a finalist for opoy and Stafford isn’t, I hope they give Maye that award and let Staff get the mvp he deserves

I like what Cowherd said about Stafford. In comparing the way he is viewed and the way 4 time MVP Rodgers is viewed, he asked (paraphrasing) "if Stafford didn't play for a shit organization all those years, would he have much fuller resume?" In other words, Rodgers was great but he spent his career playing for a great franchise**, unlike Stafford. Hell, Cowherd wondered if he spent 9 years with McVay instead of just 5, would he have more SB wins than Rodgers? And likely a couple of MVPs? Impossible to say, but certainly I'd think his resume would be fuller with 9 with Detroit and 9 with McVay.

**And it should be noted during his run in GB, his fans ( & syncophants) spent all that time claiming that great organization didn't do enough for him. Switch he and Stafford and I'd bet Stafford is the 4 time MVP and Rodgers is one unrespected. Also there's not a soul complaining he didn't get enough help.

I am glad to hear that. Have not been able to watch any of the postgame BS. Probably never will. But I like the idea of building this defense and maybe adding a big ass wideout for Stafford in round 1.

Okay, so we know Stafford will never play another season like this one right? Why not? What if the Rams improved their defense and special teams. Maybe signed somebody like Shaheed as a gadget player, PR-KR? A shut down CB? Why can't Stafford have another year like this? Wouldn't that be something for his legacy? Win the MVP in 2025, the SB and SB MVP in 2026. Hall of Fame in 2031!!
