Those are pizotes. A creature found in Central America.

When we went to Costa Rica, those damn things were one of the 1st animals we encountered. I flicked a roach (not the insect) into the grass behind our place... in several seconds... maybe 20 or 30 of these things came running out of the bushes like a mob of crazed zombies. They all bee-lined it to the tiny roach. Apparently, they thought it could have been a piece of food. It was fucking insane.

When you're down there, you have about 20 to 30 sets of eyes on you at all times and you don't even know it. It's crazy.

They are kinda like raccoons. I like em so much that I bought a wood carving of one that sits in my livingroom. It keeps It's eyes peeled on me too.
