Awe. Isn’t that cute. Did the little blue birds with their fifth highest salary in the majors break your little heart by losing to our Dodgers? Gosh we Dodger fans feel really sorry for you while watching our team hoist yet another Commissioner’s Trophy. Maybe some day your cute little blue birds will be more than a bridesmaid.

We are truly blessed Gentlemen to be a fan of THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS.

They didn't have to spend a DIME this off-season and Dodger Stadium would be packed as always.....good on them!!!!

Will their be repercussions? Very likely. Can they keep doing this? Likely not
But commitment to winning? Got it in SPADES

And the dynasty keeps rolling. This is not a team that goes all in for a championship then sell off the talent after they get it. This is a team that reloads for more.

There are some teams out there that can afford to spend more but won't. Its not the Dodgers fault they won't. Dodgers are doing right by their fans. I remember when the Yankees were that team.

And they have a couple good young pitchers who missed all of last year with injuries. River Ryan had Tommy John surgery. He had a promising start through 4 games with a 1.33 ERA until the injury.

Gavin Stone had shoulder surgery to repair the labrum and rotator cuff. He was pitching well for most the season until he went down. 11-5 with a 3.53 ERA in 2024.

Dodgers have some good young players in their system waiting for their shot. The way they suffer injuries a few of those guys should have an opportunity.

Dodgers are likely to push it even further and trade some of our deep farm for Skubal. The difference in his and the Tigers arbitration figures is comical.

I hope what the Dodgers are doing forces change. Baseball has needed it for 30 plus years. But there are enough cheap ass owners blocking change. One things for certain is the next cba negotiations will show everyone who the problem is with when they don't pass a salary cap and floor.

Ho estly we're very lucky with how the NFL is set up.
 
A chunk of luxury cap money goes to the teams that have lower payrolls. You'd think that's enough incentive to try and build a winner. But some owners would rather see more profits than wins. Dodgers know that winning increases revenue. That is why they can spend on top free agents. Fans of other teams that won't try and compete fail to see that. They just complain that the Dodgers are ruining baseball.

Honestly, this is just baseball news, and it's old baseball news (this exhibition game was played in 1970)...but I found it really cool and inspiring that all of these players and former players (Stan Musial, Sandy Koufax, Larry Doby, and Satchel Paige were all coaches for the teams with Roy Campanella and Joe DiMaggio as managers) from all these teams came together to play a charitable exhibition game (with 31,694 people - including Jackie Robinson and King's widow - in Dodger Stadium to see it) to honor MLK Jr., who had been assassinated two years prior.

Do take a look because it'll bring a smile to your face because of how many of these players who went out of their way to honor a man with an honorable dream.
