10 game homestand to wrap up the first half.

Not that we need it to win the WS but HFA wouldn't hurt.....getting guys healthy matters more....

Wrobleski is an ALL-STAR

4 games series at home against the Padres. A chance to put them out of their misery. Already a 12 game lead. Best record in MLB. Number one in run differential.

That was a tough game to watch. Put Barnes out there to sink or swim and then back to the minors. Kind of feel sorry for him.

You'd think I would learn not to give up on the Dodgers. Sasaki gives up 6 runs in the first two innings. I figure they're gonna lose. So I check back a while later and they're 8-6 just like that. The division is a foregone conclusion. But the number one seed is not. Its not like they need it. The final 3 series last year they didn't have home field.

Padres gotta feel snakebit. 6-0 lead after two innings. 3-0 lead in the 7th. No lead is safe with the Dodgers. The Padres only chance at coming back in the division was a sweep. Or at least 3 out of 4. Best they can hope for is a split. That won't be easy with Yamamoto going tonight.

And there went the split

As a Cardinals fan, my condolences go out to Eliezer Alfonso and his family. He lost his stepmom and his sister in the earthquakes in Venezuela, found out right before his big-league debut.

I can't imagine the scope of the tragedy and how the Venezuelan players around the league are feeling at this moment.

I posted this in the Last Thing I Bought thread. I met up with @Rams8821 before the game and then we spent some time together at the stadium before the game. I had my buddy rub Freddie’s name on my back right before he hit the walk off in the 18th inning of the only World Series game I had ever been to.

This is the 18th inning walk off commemorative bobblehead they were giving away at the game on 7/6/26. I had to have it.

A good time for the All Star break. Dodgers might be a little fatigued. Swept by the D-backs before going into the break. Pitching was not good. 23 run in 3 games. Bullpen gave up the bulk of that. Dodgers scored 8. Not gonna win many games with that combination. Well, at least they have a big lead. Maybe a few days off will re-energize them.

I think the injuries to the pitchers might be catching up to them. Not to mention Will Smith's injury. Having young, inexperienced catchers can affect the pitching. Snell and Diaz might be back in a couple weeks. But I'm hearing Glasnow might need another month or two.

I think the Dodgers thought this weekend was All Star weekend. Pretty bad series.
