10 game lead in the division. 4 more wins than Milwaukee for the number one spot. All the injuries and halfway through the season they have the best record in the league. That is one deep roster. Imagine when Snell, Glasnow and Diaz returns. Then imagine if they trade for Skubal.
I hope they do get the threepeat while they can. There's probably gonna be a lockout after the season. And some sort of salary cap might happen. If its one where teams who go over the established amount pay a penalty, that would probably be best case scenario for the Dodgers. They have the money for that.
If there will be a cap there should be a floor too. Make the tight ass owners who don't care about winning spend more to field a competitive team.

6 innings or more with 3 runs or less. That is what's considered a quality start. Which is what Lauer as been doing since he came over from Toronto. His ERA with Toronto was 6.69 in 6 starts. His ERA with LA is 2.88 in 5 starts. A huge difference. Toronto might be regretting the trade by now.
And all 3 came in one inning. Which means he threw 5 shutout innings out of 6. I watched that inning. Other than the homerun there weren't any hard hit balls. A couple bloopers. A broken bat single. A ball hit the bag and went over Muncy's head when he was in position to field it. Lauer has been a very good addition.
His ERA isn't as bad as I thought at 3.51. I must have missed the games he pitched ok. Because most times I've seen him he's giving up a couple runs in one inning.
I remember when a lot of fans were not happy with Roberts. But management showed patience. Now we're being rewarded. Sure, not every late inning decision works out. But in the end, he made enough right moves to win championships. It ain't easy being a baseball manager. When you make late inning decisions, you're solely dependent on that pitcher or batter to execute. And expect to be criticized if they don't.
Rams and Dodgers are the talk of their leagues. Lakers, not so much. Dodgers are also more popular in LA than the Lakers. Latest polling has Dodgers at 43 percent to Lakers 28 percent. Rams are a distant 7.3 percent. Losing a whole generation of fans for 21 years will do that. But they're rated as established and growing. A couple more championships should move them a lot higher up.
They suddenly have some relevance with the leaving of Bron Bron. Hopefully, they return to the Lakers and not just Bron's latest team.
On a totally unrelated note, I find it interesting just how many more baseball jerseys you see in the stands than in any other sport by far. I was watching the game last night and it looked like a Dodgers home game. It dawned on me that the only way it would look that way is because of all the Dodgers gear in the seats. Hell. My son and I wear our Dodgers gear to Triple A games about half the time and always when OKC is in town. Now granted, I wear my Rams gear to Rams games, but I only see about half as many jerseys at an NFL game as I do at a baseball game. And when I used to go to Lakers games, I rarely wore a Lakers jersey. Usually, I wore a Lakers hat. But I would say that there were a smattering of Jerseys in the stands at NBA games - same with NHL. I have never been to a soccer match so.... And if it's called a match, is it really a sport?
I see a LOT of NFL jerseys when I go to games. But you are right baseball has many as well.

When I watch Dodger road games, it sure looks like they have a lot of fans in the seats. Yeah, the last two games looked like home games with all the blue.
The Dodgers have the best attendance in baseball both home and away. Team owners love it when they have a Dodgers home stand. The home team players? Probably not so much.
