Excellent point.
Both Kupp and White are big question marks. If either goes down (again) or are not up to their “usual”, this draft doesn’t look as shiny.

I will say I have more faith in Kupp than White.

As for the rookie class, I’m confident in Verse and Fiske and I’m thinking Jackson is gonna bump Hampton off the roster. If our new NT can perform in a rotation, that a fantastic haul to get Shula and his defense.

And the OL looks awfully scary.

This is a good looking roster…on paper…a couple days after the draft.
If we're healthy, my biggest question mark is Shula's scheme and who he will send down the field to cover TEs.

Curl or Lake probably. However, I am guessing so take that with a grain of salt.

However, as long as it isn't Hoecht we should be a ton better at it than last year.

This is a good example of Hoecht trying to cover a tight end.

This looks like a deep playoff roster if the secondary sorts out.

Running the ball should be more successful, more potent, and we are not dependent on one back for the first time in the McVay era. It took him long enough. Lot of getting kicked in the nuts by this group. But he got there.

Stopping the run should be stronger as well. One thing I felt was coming this year was AD transitioning to a rush specialist. This is because he is small and has to work harder to win vs the run. But I don't think even last year it was ideal having him in there in obvious rush downs, unfortunately we needed him in there because the depth wasn't good enough for that role. This year however there's going to be a stronger rotation for that run front. Jones should be set up for success and he's playing for a contract as well which means I expect a top season from him. Biggest question vs the run is the secondary, their ability to tackle consistently in space.

Pass defense should be significantly improved, probably the strongest unit improvement on the roster due to the additions and safety overhaul.

Pass game maybe sees a slight improvement with Nacua in year two, Kupp hopefully being fully healthy, and Stafford hopefully getting better protections.

Teams should be vastly improved in the kicking game. Hopefully there will be a focus on the bottom of the roster being coverage types as well to boost that element.

One thing I think will be really important is a quick start. You need that to get a high seed. But this roster looks to me like it will compete well in division and give SF all they can handle and hopefully win a shit ton of games.
Hopefully, we sweep the Niners. We are no longer the SOSAR to them after this year.

Jokes aside, it's true.
now, back to the jokes....
Jimmy at the restaurant:

"Soup or salad sir?"
"I'll take the wet noodle soup."

"Hey Jimmy. What did you think of that Deadwood show?"
"Why do I want to watch a Viagra infomercial?"

I love this roster. I think everything has improved. Even our questionable position groups are better or the same from last year. For example, Sure Tre is a gamble, but worst case we roll with last years CBs plus Darious Williams.

Some are worried about the linebacker room, but Verse, Hoecht, Jones, and Young sounds real good, and we'll probably play with Lake instead of that 4th backer quite a bit right?

And as for the Wide Receiver room, We seem to be able to lean on Puka when Kupp can't go.

Sure catastrophe can happen at any position, but we look pretty deep on paper. TE is really the only big question mark.

I think we are an ILB and CB away from a lock and load roster.

Asking for a friend. If the Rams lock into a playoff spot early - is Donald under contract to the Rams under said contract for another Super Bowl run (should he get the itch)?

Add a dominant LT on offense, and a shutdown CB on defense, and I would make them a top 2 or 3 team in the league.

AJ isn't bad, but against a top rusher, it would be nice to have a guy that could shut that down and keep Stafford clean and comfortable.

AJ often blocks well enough just to allow Stafford to get rid of it, before getting hit. At least when going against the top DE's.

Imagine Pace on this line? Probably would add 7 additional pts per game.

Does this draft and early UDFA period give us a hint about what they think about these guys?

Of the group maybe they like what they've seen from CB Cameron McCutcheon & LB Olakunie Fatukasi so far?
Maybe they really might have a shot due to the limited acquisitions at their positions?

I loved what I saw of McCutcheon's pass this coverage skills last preseason.

With last year's practice squad experience, I think that he'll be ready to be in the cornerback rotation.

I wouldn't be surprised if he moves up on the CB depth chart ahead of Durant (very poor against the run), Kendrick (prone to giving up big pass plays) and Tomlinson (penalty-prone).

Not counting the specialists or any undrafted players - so in other words, only guys that were on the team last year, FA signings or drafted this year. And we have one too many.

This team is now DEEP. We are going to the fucking Super Bowl
I’d still like the DLine rotation to be upgraded Murchison does not move the needle for me. I guess at this point the Rams wait until mid August to sign a guy or the trade deadline to swing a trade.

They wanted Sutton. Maybe that’s still an October possibility.

Maybe some team will cut some better DLine depth this summer. Another possibility I guess could be a trade for DLine. Johnathon Allen from Washington would be a good addition.

Unless a UFA steps up I think they still have a move or two to be made.
