Immediately, I think explosive TE, because I don't see a player at WR, who would be considered explosive in the 2nd round. That being said, in the later rounds, and in UDFA, we may really try to look at/draft specialists...as in, deep ball guys. I can think of A. Jackson as a player possibly, that we'd take if he fell to us, we could use him on offense also. The take on Tru didn't really sound very positive. We will go CB in our first 3 picks, I am certain.@jrry32 It seems that they are focusing on "Explosive" players on both sides of the ball. I admittedly have not followed this thing like I have for the last 15 or so years. Who at each position do you think fits that description? Is it all of the first round guys? Or is it say....Zay Jones more so than JuJu? Big play receiver or possession guy? How about TE? Does Engram fit that bill or is another TE more explosive? Or Willis more so than Tak McKinley? Which corners look explosive. They basically described Denver's defense when discussing what players are at a premium. Pass rushers and corners.
Others are welcome to chime in. I asked Jrry because we have been going back and forth on draft prospects for a very long time now.
Something tells me that these two will be well aware if eitherI watch even if you only get little insight.
It seems like McVay likes Snead. Right around 3 Minutes and 20 Secs the War Gaming questions McVay answers with a positive about how they watch film together and he is a football guy. Helping him get different insights. Les responses is how Sean can explain what he is looking for his offense etc.....Snead has also had the time to get his scouting department running on all cylinders.
I think we will see a draft that actually gets talented players that fit the Rams schemes on both sides of the ball and special teams. A draft that doesn't over think things. Yeah I think we will see some trade moves.
They both really like Wade Phillips.

I feel we will go TE, with our first pick, just my guess, unless the top talent is gone. If C. Davis, please, please, fell, we'd take him, I'm sure.
I think we may address the speedy WR in later rounds...or UDFA, though.

It's hard to say with certainty (because so many things are described as explosive in football), but I'd say there are guys you could classify as explosive based on analytics or their play. I'll try to give you a non-exhaustive list at some positions of need:
WR
Evan Engram
K.D. Cannon
Josh Reynolds
Mack Hollins
Josh Ross
Carlos Henderson
Shelton Gibson
TE
David Njoku
Jonnu Smith
Gerald Everett
Bucky Hodges
George Kittle
OLB
T.J. Watt
Jordan Willis
Tyus Bowser
Haason Reddick
CB
Kevin King
Gareon Conley
Fabian Moreau
Ahkello Witherspoon
Adoree Jackson
Shaq Griffin
DAMN jrry!!! your example list of explosive players/fits/needs is 97.999 % the same as my scouting list. Do you have secret spies over here in the sunny state of Florida? You are freaking me out a little bit brother

After watching it, I'll just say that I hope the Rams prioritize football skill along with explosiveness. If they draft a bunch of athletes who aren't great football players, I'll be disappointed. But based on what they're saying, I expect Evan Engram to be the pick if he's around at #37.(he might not be)
Great news....It seems that they are focusing on "Explosive" players on both sides of the ball.
Plenty of wr's....not only in the 2nd round...3rd, 4th, 5th,...probably a few go undrafted as wellI don't see a player at WR, who would be considered explosive in the 2nd round.
Who is this?Shelton Gibson
It really relates back to the coaching these players receive. I read G-Rob scored a 22 on his wonderlic test....Dan Marino scored a 15. Our players are smart enough...that's why so many get picked up when they leave now. We just got rid of our dumb coaches too late to save some of them.I think offense takes more football skill and experience. Offense is about precision and execution. I believe that is part of why some of their Oline problems exist and why guys like Quick just never work out. I am a big fan of football intelligence in players. There are college athletes playing football that get drafted high every year. I put Tavon in that category too.
Totally agree with you in the WR position, I think we may address it later, if we are basically looking for a one dimensional guy. Shoot, Kenny Walker may get a shot as an UDFA, after his 4.26 at his Pro Day. We may also double dip there, depending on what we think of our own guys. In the 4th, I think Josh Reynolds is a real good fit, for his long ball ability, and long speed. Nice list @jrry32 . I'd take Chad Wheeler in the 5th if he fell. I think he has some skills, size, and could develop into a future OLT.Great news....
