A s I continuously think about this game, I know the Bears defense is gonna be going hard for turnovers. The Rams gotta protect the football at all times!!! They cannot give the Bears a short field!!!

BALL SECURITY, BALL SECURITY, AND BALL SECURITY!!!
I say let them try and tackle the ball..... They have trouble tackling players.

(They / Them = Bears lol )

Can you expand on how this would be important for the Rams game.

Just want to understand the analogy.
I simply found it interesting that the Rams hadn't attempted a 2 point conversion all year. We have a bunch of passing TDs that close but not a single 2 pt conversion.

No idea what youre unsure about.

That's wild
I wonder how many 2 point attempts they've had to defend?

Such a bummer how our defense has faltered later in the season. Usually defenses get better as the season progresses.

I was also hoping to see different game plan coming into the playoffs for the defense but if the Carolina game was an indicator for how future game plans will go, the Rams are gonna have to depend on their Offense to win games.

If the Rams get off to a good start, McVay needs to keep at it with the offense unless it's mathematically impossible for the Bears to get back in the game. For example, being up 24-3 with 7 minutes left in the game I'm good with 3 runs, milking the clock and punting the ball out of bounds. Then the bend don't break defense should work just fine.
Sad but true anything short of a 3 TD lead in the 4th quarter is unnerving.

Rams scoring less than 30 points (4-4)
Rams scoring 30 or more (9-1)

Rams allowing less than 20 (8-0)
Rams allowing 20 or more (5-5)

I'd say score 30 or allow less than 20, it's a "W"
Score less than 30, allow 20 or more, a "W" is 50/50

I'd take that every day and twice on Sundays.
I’ve always looked at 31 as the over under mark for the Rams the last couple of years. Doesn’t mean they will always win when scoring more or always lose when scoring less but IMO that is the scoring line in the sand.

I don't think it's all the D's fault. The Panther game it was some untimely penalties, possible passes that could had been hauled in for a TD and some offensive short yardage mishaps.

Yeppers

For some reason I see the magic number as 30 plus for the offense.

Just wondering how that might fit in to the game this weekend.... At first glance (to me) it looks like picking pepper out of fly shit. But after that one debacle 2-point conversion attempt that was gifted to the Seahawks by the NFL..... It does raise one eyebrow a little.

Truthfully the D hasn't been as bad as some (and the media) have been pointing out. It has regressed, to be sure but.....

The D has allowed 30 points twice in the last 6 regular season games. 30 to Seattle and 34 to Detroit. They allowed 24 to Carolina, 20 to Arizona and Atlanta and 17 to Arizona. So yeah, against a couple of pretty good offenses, they allowed big numbers. They've averaged 24.1 PPG to close out the regular season but not the 28 PPG some are talking about. We've had 2 pick 6's (offense giving up pts) and a PR TD in the last 6 games.

So we allowed Carolina to score 31 in the Wild Card game, thanks to a blocked punt that gave them the ball at the Rams 30.

Either way we need to tighten up that D to advance further but it's not the huge gap some are portraying.

I'm wondering about how Shula is working the secondary on Moore and Loveland. I don't know what the Packers were doing but Loveland ate that secondary alive!!! Much of it was due to Williams scrambling around and breaking down that secondary.

Secondly, the Rams pass rush has to keep Williams in the pocket. Sacking him will be good if they can get to him but mainly keeping him contained is better. It's gonna be interesting to see HOW THE RAMS pass rush that guy.

On special teams, I listened to McVay talk about that. He didn't name Ingle, but he talked about "one guy" failing when the Panthers got that punt block. I know many of us are going to be nervous about the Rams special teams every time they get on the field. LET'S HOPE THEY'RE SOLID on Sunday!!!

Wow I post a thing that says the Rams haven't don't something and youre in here looking for the meaning of life. Take a stat and enjoy it or not I guess.
