Landman is starting. Do they keep five?
I'd go:

Speights > Paul
Landman > Dolac

And I don't think Landman can keep Dolac off the field for long, as he's a nicklebacker movement-wise who can get dirty and be in position all three downs. Behind our starting DL the opposing OL won't be running second level to tie up backers, they'll be holding on for their lives. So Dolac would kill it with space to move.

Landman's the Reeder upgrade basically. For me at least.

I have liked Bowles too, not sure if it is because his name is Wyatt or his play? Seriously I feel Dedich is more of a natural center and Bowles is a very stout guard IMHO.
Of course - The hard part is The Rams went all in this year & protected themselves with journey men finally. The thing is these guys developed faster than expected,or are better than expected.
—It suck’s The Rams(NFL) can’t have control of rookies for a season,or at least until they are released.
If a player is on the practice squad & or 53 after 5 games should get a minimum salary.Something like that ? Then again it’s complicated.
My thing is if I was a GM of a baseball team developing a good minor league system would be huge.
In The NFL what The Rams are building is unique. They coach players up as a Team. They have a consistent system. The bad thing is they are going to loss a few Very Good Players.

Dedich & Leveston were stacked on The Rams. The lucky part was KT on IR,and Dedich was hidden on the 53 all season.

Big Rob with shoulder & getting older couldn’t be trusted,Alaric Jackson as well with blood-clots.
Humpries & Qeussebberry were really good signings.Warren wasn’t ready to play LT..Beaux showed promise.

The Big picture is The Rams solidifying there OFFENSIVE LINE
& coming into 2025 healthy.

It isn’t or ever about Troy Reeder. It’s hard not to root for Shaun Dolac.

Rosenboom & Reeder needed to be replaced. EJ53 really hurt The Rams depth wise.

Landman (MLB) needed to come in as a starter.Speights is limited & was a UDRFA.

Troy Reeder is basically mentoring his replacement. He’s just not going to make it an EASY choice e.

When @den-the-coach was a young lad he didn't fuck around with Boone's Farm, dude went with perfectly chilled Mateus Rosé to impress the ladies.
Actually being Italian we loved our Lambrusco. It was the only wine I knew before leaving for the military at the age of 17. I actually didn't know red wine is actually served at room temperature. I thank Anne, who was 29, when I was 18 and introduced to so many things, like red red wine being served warm, and soup Vichyssoise, is actually served cold. What an awakening.

I am definitely a Dolac fan. The only thing I will say negatively about him: while he diagnoses and correctly reads plays consistently, and he doesn't miss the tackle, it does seem that many of the tackles have him being pushed forward a couple of yards after the hit.

He is talented, athletic and instinctual. His (lack of) size does seem to show a little bit when he hits the runner coming in at full steam.

Still like him a lot more than Reeder and want him to make the 53. Just not looking forward to hearing the complaints when runners get an extra two or three yards after the initial hit.

He’s not great at getting off blocks.

I like him for the reasons you stated. Paul sheds blocks better.

Well, it is better than Reeder being dragged for 6 yards after the hit.

I just hope he is able to stop the runner before the 1st down marker.

I don't mind runners getting an extra yard or two if it is before the 1st down marker.

I can't tell you how many times I saw Reeder hit a runner before the 1st down marker and the runner almost every time getting the first down.

Rams sign journeyman OL John Leglue

For the second time in as many days, the Los Angeles Rams have added an offensive lineman. After signing Mike McAllister on Tuesday, the Rams came right back and signed journeyman John Leglue on Wednesday.

They had an open roster spot after waiving Mario Williams and putting Keir Thomas on IR, so they didn’t need to create any space to add Leglue.

Leglue is 6-foot-7 and 310 pounds, and can play tackle or guard. He’s played for seven different teams in his career since going undrafted out of Tulane in 2019, so he’s bounced around the league.

Most recently, he was on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squad in 2024 but he did not appear in any games. He’s played seven games in his career, making five starts with the Steelers in 2021.

He's the Leglue that could hold this Leteam together.

Speights is a downhill stopper with decent range, so that is another reason I would like to see the two of them paired. They would complement one another as Dolac adds mobility and and anticipation to beat blockers to his fit.

Early in the season we’ll see Landman & Speights. Then because Omar is limited & Reeder is better in early downs don’t be surprised when it’s Landman & Troy. Weather you like it or not you might need Kleenex for sadness.
Plus there be a lot of nickel & dime with extra DB’s. Lake covers better than Dolac without a doubt. That is going to be how Dolac gets on the field. He’s only going to get better.- Right now special teams is where he is going to contribute.Same with Pooh
