Rams wave Mario Williams rookie WR with a injury designation.
Williams caught two passes for 46 yards against the renters on saturday, including a 38-yard touchdown from Stetson Bennett.

Ouch. I was hoping to keep him on the practice squad.

Keir Thomas to the IR

Rams signed their old pal Mike McCallister.

With as well as some of the Olineman have played, I’m surprised by signing McCallister. However it could be just a fill in because Lampkin is injured

How many O”Lineman do The Rams keep ? -K T is going to get claimed.

Bowles & Dedich were excellent.

I think that’s all it is.

None of the 5 starters or Humphries, have seen the field the prior two games. If a couple top reserves join them, and sit out this game (likely), plus Lampkin’s injury … that doesn’t leave many OL options.

this seems right, I expect us to either sit or barely play 1-2 guys in addition to losing Lampkin so need bodies

FWIW IMO, Justin Dedich has outplayed Beaux Limmer during preseason IMHO. Dedich is not as big at 6'2 300lbs vs 6'5 315lbs, however, Dedich has been better and is superior in pass protection IMHO. If it came down to those two, I would keep Dedich over Limmer although I believe they will keep both and I also believe some will think I am nuts.

Can't say I've watched him as close as I would have liked but this does not surprise me, he seems to have taken last years play and at the bare minimum, kept that play steady if not improved on it. I didn't really watch his snaps at C but if he showed there I can see this for sure. I agree, prob keep both as both can offer interior versatility.

I realize there are very few competitive OL slots for the 53-man roster open to competition, in the eyes of Rams brass. And do we keep 9? 10? 11? Plus, there is IR, and hiding an "injured" guy on the 53 and just keep 11 guys. I don't know.

I do wish the league would expand the rosters a bit. It seems ridiculous all the manipulating of these men's lives, whether for roster slots/practice squad, or for salary cap reasons, it takes away from what should be organic reasons for building a roster, and the focus on the game itself.

With all of the Bubble players names thrown around, it seems one interior guy is flying under the radar. With the fan base at least. Ben Dooley, has been playing RG with the second half group and has been top 5 PFF grades, and has allowed 0 pressures in 2 games. Yet Bowles, who was BOTTOM 5 PFF against the Cowgirls, seems to be getting a lot of buzz.

We are probably talking about the 3-4 practice squad slots with these guys anyway. Maybe 2 interior lineman. Does Bowles pass the eye test with some of you more? I've only seen game highlight footage, but Dooley seems to be doing pretty well.

They have a lot of depth which means they could gamble a little in terms of going with 9 OL on the 53 and feel reasonably confident 2 or 3 will make it on to the practice squad
