Is new turf being installed in the Coliseum? Will it be ready for the playoff game?

I just looked. It’s moist but not soggy. Roots have good depth. Trimming scheduled for later today.

2 weeks between games and no USC games, it should be in pretty good shape by Saturday's game.

Turf looks good. But if the game rolls into the evening, that Pacific fog coming will make the field slippery wet.

Hopefully that will be a lesson taken from the Falcons game. The slick turf was a consideration in that game.

Get some kids out there with beach towels in between quarters to dry it off then. $20 a kid, 100 kids, plus the cost of beach towels... I think Kroenke can afford it.

I was think some big industrial dehumidifiers around the field.

Not that this would be the first time I’ve been played, but you guys can physically get to the field and check it out?

Has to be better than last year. That was pretty bad against the Falcons for a playoff game.

I understand what you mean and I have a question.

Is that going to be an issue on the new field? It's below the surface. I wonder how that will change things with the elements.

Fuck that, give them ShamWoW's and have the kids wear these shirts and them charge them to be the field cleanup sponsor.

And slick balls too.

I prolly could have worded that better :neener:

I thought you said it..........well..........as best as it could have been said.

Isn't Shakira having a concert there this weekend?

I want to be reincarnated as the "ventilated cotton panel" in her pantyhose.

This would conclude my journey, and the circle of life.

All things would again blossom and be reborn.

Peace would suddenly enshroud the globe.

Man. At first I was super excited because I thought they were actually installing synthetic turf at the Coliseum.
They actually should. It's always crappy and will be all next season too.
Kronke should fork over some cash to install the very best (as realistic as possible) tall blade synthetic turf.
