Got to love the “anyone could do it” angle
No, they can’t
Only Gurley produced to this level, no other Ram in McVay tenure sniffs Kyren’s production
I guess we disagree. That's ok.

Would you rather have Kyren or Omarion Hampton?

Kyren or Judkins?

"Kyren has 35 tds on 677 touches for his career, so 1 TD per 19 touches in his career"

A lot of RBs placed into the ram's offense and given Kyren's amount of touches, would do as well or better than Kyren.

He is in the perfect situation.
I feel the Rams extended him because they don't believe this. You can't just plug anyone in.

IMO, them resigning KW is commentary on Corum because if they felt that he could do what KW is doing, they probably let KW walk, especially since they just drafted Hunter.

The argument that any running back can do what Kyren Williams has doesn't float for me.

Kyren beat out a 2nd round pick in Akers that got benched due to consistency in seeing the running lanes and other phases of the game.

We saw immediate improvement in our run game and pass protection when Kyren came in. Not to mention his ability at the goal line. Our run game was very bad for years after Gurley until Kyren Williams.

This is how Mcvay views Kyren Williams, " I think he's really a complete back...versatility on all 3 downs. Great in pass protection...great feel for the screen game.... ability to produce in both phases...run and pass. Elite Competitor "

If Kyren could stop the fumbling, he'd be a fringe top 10 HB. But the fumbles at the worst time are so hard to swallow.

Sorry I read it as fumbles because thats all Ive been seeing. Correct 19 carries per TD to 66 carries per fumble.

Kyren 35TD is like 40% of entire TD of the team in 3 years. Everyone can argue is short yard TD but Puka only has only 11, and Kupp has 11, Drob has 11 and last two dont even count anymore. Without Kyren this team is NOTHING and worse than the Saints!

Answers will say a lot about how people view Kyren.

Doesnt matter, he still is! Thats the issue. Prob even Top at this point. If he cleans his fumbles, hes top 3 behind Henry and Saquon.

Since 2023 Kyren, this is his rankings in NFL.

Fumbles = T-1st (10)
Rush Yds = 3rd (2811)
Attempts = 3rd (626)
Yards per Carry = T-10th (4.5)
Rush Yds per game= 4th( 85.2)
Rush TD= 2nd (27)
rec Yds = 18th (506)
Rec TD= 3rd (8)

What we all gonna say the next time he fumbles because he will.. he does always has and will again. Then what? Makes ya miss players like Faulk and Gurley. Sorry.
What you gonna say when Stafford fumbles the ball again? "You stupid Mother F******. Well Maybe if Kyren didnt Fumble at the Goal line in Q1 we would be ahead." Stafford is near top in league too. Maybe if this offense gets its head out of its ass and does something outside of Kyren. You can argue Puka blah blah. I love Puka, but hes gone in the RZ because they cover the shit outta him . Its Kyren or noone at this point. TDs dont lie!

If you don't see the joke in there, not sure what to tell you. Are you legitimately implying that you think I believe Belicheat would execute a player on the field for fumbling?

Think you need to relax a bit.
Sorry, @Flatlyner. I don't drink that much anymore, so when I downed half of my usual, it snuck up on me. I completely misread your post and did in fact chill.

My take on the fumble problem is this: Make Kyren carry the ball everywhere he is. Before practice, during practice, after practice. Build practices to encourage defenders to make Kyren fumble by emphasizing take-away ball on the defense. If he still has issues after that, find a new guy. We have let go many a back that had issues with fumbling. Move on. Ball security must be number 1 priority.

This entire discussion would be mute if the kicking game, especially the special teams interior blocking, was intact. With no blocked FGs or PATs we would have probably won the games against the Green Birds and the '9ers!
No it wouldn't, it'd be just as loud.

No doubt he is a top 5 rb. But the only thing he's 1st in is the thing we're all pissed off about

Bloodlust? LOL

These kind of reactions and discussions happen when people defend and circle the wagons around a guy who helped contribute to a loss when people are pointing out that and his short comings. Bloodlust LOL
You don’t like my hyperbole, @OldSchool ?

I think you get the point. I’m not Kyren’s lawyer here. The dude has this Wendell Tyler-like penchant for fumbling in the most destructive ways, at the worst times. My point was people sure are quick to call for a guys head. I bet some of the same guys were marveling at what a clutch player he was earlier in the game.

It’s the same thing with Karty. I’m not sure how much responsibility he bears for the blocked kicks, but now I hear all these know-it-all podcasters calling for us to bring in another kicker. Pure bloodlust, @OldSchool !!

I was probably more pissed at his bad squib kick than the shanked 53 yarder.

That game as a whole was just one bad thing after another. Maybe the worst feeling I’ve had after a Rams -Niners game since walking out of Candlestick in the 1989 NCFCG.
