I understand your position. It's a reasonable one.

If it was possible to resign KW to $7m or $8m per year, I'm all aboard.

Given his production, I feel he'll command double that at which point I'm no longer for it.
I agree, I am really curious to see McVay and the FO's position on KW. I know in the past we haven't invested heavily in the position (sinceTG30 anyway) but I think with the run first ethos firmly and successfully a part of our gameplan along with his stability and production we may see a bit more contract flexibility concerning this. Maybe a heavily incentive based contract

I see the RB market continuing a resurgence in this a very cyclical league.

As stated before, Kyren is a top 3 RB now. Only ones better than him are Henry, and Barkley.... He also Has the most 1st downs in the entire NFL. Pay the Man. We have bigger problems to fix on this team like Our secondary. I agree on Incentive deal tho.

Kyren Williams holds the record for the most touchdowns by a Rams player in their first 17 starts, with 22. Williams' 22 touchdowns are also the second-most in NFL history, behind Larry Johnson's 27 touchdowns with the Chiefs.

12th all-time Rams TDs by a RB in 2 years! 25 TD in two. 2x 1000 rushing Yard seasons, 15 total TD in a season x2. If he keeps this Pace He will Be the Rams RB career All-time TD leader within 3 more years. Top 3 in rushing yards.

Most cant see past his Non explosive top speed, and fumble numbers. What they dont notice is that hes matching the Avg yards per play with our greats without that speed.

Well. Will he have more career yards than Todd Gurley & is there a Super Bowl in his future? Hard call to predict any of it .Still having Blake Corum as a backup could be a blessing in disguise.
Look at las season & what happens when Kyren Williams got hurt.Even Puka for that matter this season.
They both mean a lot to The Rams & if healthy The Rams probably beat Detroit the last 2 times they played as an example.
Absolutely. We're still running the crap out of Kyren and not splitting 70/30 like I thought we would but the offense doesn't just die when he's out of the game like it did last year. Shame that his 38 yard run got called back, that was a heck of a play for the rookie and a showcase for things to come.

KWill and Nacua represent the 2 headed beast the Rams have on offense. If anything the Rams need to add a 3rd head (TEor WR1B) not cut off a head.

More than anything else, this team just doesn't look good when he is not in the lineup. He and Puka are the straws that stir the drink for the current version of this offense.

If Corum can't be pretty much a 1 for 1 replacement of KWill after next season, they will have a hard decision to make. Corum has to be better in PP by then. Period. I think he has it in him, he just needs time.

You beat me to it by less than a minute! Puka and Kdubbs are absolutely the studs on this offense.....and we have seen what it looks like without them. It's......pedestrian at best.

I was a big time non-believer before last season. Thought he was too small and too slow.
I don’t know that I’d re-sign him, though. I think Corum will be good.
I was in the same boat. Why wouldn’t we be? He briefly made a couple appearances as a rookie in a year when the season was lost and there was plenty of opportunity to get real game reps.

He showed me last season. He was fantastic and I think he’s even better this year. Maybe it’s confidence, maybe it’s a more run abled OL, but either way, KW is balling this year and he’s the main weapon in this Ram offense.

I like Corum, too, but I wouldn’t be so quick to think he’s interchangeable with KW—at least not at this point. I notice when Corum enters the game, he gets the ball nearly every snap. He is rarely a decoy, put in motion and shifted, or more importantly, in on pass protection. I need to see a little more versatility from him to allay my concerns.

KW is great. That said I want Rams to win an SB.
How many RBs can you name that were the key to their team winning the SB. Faulk is obviously one of them.
I suppose it depends on how far back you want to go.
In this century, the RBs who have appeared in the SB have not been the focal point or vital to the team’s success—not that there hasn’t been some good play.

I would like to see the Rams bring back Williams on a 3-year contract for around 30 million.
I think that would be fair to both sides. He's not McCaffrey or Saquon, or anything like Gurley.
However: there's very few RB's playing right now who are like HIM -- consistently grinding out medium, 6-8 yd runs. These kinds of runs are punishing to a D. The only RB from my recent memory that was like him was Leveon -- patient, great vision, sets up blocks, great cuts, creativity, etc. to consistently chew up yards & clock. Some of the reasons we've LOST games is because we didn't have that RB who, 1st & 10 at our 30 yd line, 2:30 left in the 4th quarter, could reliably get you that 1st down that nails the coffin shut. KW is that RB.
When you've GOT to have your RB get you 10 yards in 3 downs, or punch it in the EZ on 3rd & goal at the 3, KW will get it for you.
So ya, 3 yr / $30m sounds perfect to me -- he still has incredible value, and it would be crazy to just let him go into F/A.
Where we really, really need a top-level playmaker would be WR1 -- Puka & Kupp are great, but they are what they are. A WR1 with size & speed opens up the deep field, which opens up the middle for Puka & Kupp, and softens up the line for KW. Tutu is still a valuable WR3, we just need a top WR1 that could make P&K WR2's, which would be deadly. So ya, KW is not the problem on this team. So don't "fix" it.

I'm a lot bias because im a big fan but I say keep him. I have a feeling he will give the Rams a bit of a deal since they have always been his football team. Also he's a big part of that energy that seems to have revitalized McVay in a way. Probably shouldn't give him a record setting contract but I hate the thought of possibly going back to the unreliable and drive killing backs like Brown, Akers and Henderson. Try to sign him to a team friendly contract, let Rivers go and add a mid round pick to the pipeline.

Big fan of K-Will, being a fellow St. Louisan and fellow fan of S-Jax. I'd go for three years, eleven million per year, but no higher. You have to consider moving on from him if he decides to take more money next year, and this year's running back class is too good not to take at least one (I'd love to get Quinshon Judkins, if we had to take a running back early, or Raheim "Rocket" Sanders if we decide to take one late).

Keep an eye on Cody Schrader as well; he dominated at Mizzou not just as a runner, but as a receiver and blocker as well. If Whittington gets more usage in the offense, we could see him as a kick returner.

Feels like a strong chance he gets traded this off-season - if you're Kyren with the workload and injury history, it's critical he get a contract after this year. If you're the Rams, you're offering like 8 mil max.
