not even sure what play that is or what that is supposed to prove.
If you watched the game, you'd have known that was the play where Kyren broke a 17 yarder and the ball came out after the play was dead. There was no fumble on the play that Puka recovered.
If he had, it would have said he fumbled and recovered by Puka
It wasnt a fumble

I'm with @Ellard80 on this one. The first one would have been overturned and called a fumble if Puka hadn't recovered it. Vikings didn't bother to challenge, since it wouldnt have made a difference.
It wasnt a fumble he was hit and when he hit the ground the ball came out. No fumble

I don't think that's the right play - but whichever play it was there would be no fumble recorded because the refs ruled him down.

I already said that 3 fucking times - there would be no fumble recorded.

BUT if "you watched the game" you could see he clearly fumbled - aikman even noticed If i recall. It was never challenged however because puka recovered it. None of this would have been recorded because he was ruled down incorrectly.

Okay I found the video - you are correct it was the 17 yard run.

However in regular speed you can't really tell - during the game when they replayed it in slow motion, can clearly see kyren fumbled it before he hit the ground.

Of course you dont think its the right play, because you didnt watch the game
The ground caused the fumble but he was hit so its not a fumble
Its crazy how hard people try to knock this guy down

But when they replayed it in slow mo you can see the ball comes loose before he hit the ground.

Other posters lol - Nah I'm the one who started the conversation about last night.

Also I'm not advocating for getting rid of the guy - I just want him to get better at protecting the ball.

Agreed. I'm not sure the point of the semantics. No, it wasn't a fumble. But he was close to two.

The point is, even near fumbles, such as what happened yesterday, don't inspire confidence.

To be fair on the second one, he was already doing the splits and still getting pulled in opposite directions, and he clearly put the ball down when his leg was down. A lot of other running backs would've done the same.

Yeah, I definitely understood why that one happened.

I love KW. But his ball security is a problem for me. When he is struggling for extra yards in particular he is loose with it. Should be something he can fix.

Rams are going to ride him this postseason come what may and that's the right call. He is by far our best back. But if I'm Les this offseason I would go get that kid from Miami mid to late rounds. Add the thumper for behind Williams and Corum and this RB room would be ready to go.

The refs got it wrong on this one.

The ball came out just before Kyren hit the ground. However, since Puka recovered the ball anyway, the Vikings didn't bother to challenge it. So it wasn't recorded as a fumble, but in actuality it was.

The play came with 6:08 left in the first quarter, on the Rams second drive when they scored a field goal.

As for the second near-fumble, I give props to Kyren for holding on as well as he did, because he was twisted into a pretzel in 2 different directions.

My overall take: Kyren is a warrior and a terrific player. He has some fumble concerns but it's also clear he works damn hard at it and puts in the effort to secure the ball.

Kyren is a beast, the Rams arent where they are without him. Rams need a TD, he gets it. Rams need a 1st down, he gets one. Rams need pass blocking? Fuck yeah he gives it to them.
It just amazes me how some want to tear him down because he cant run a 4.4 40 in gym shorts
Alas....
I sure hope they use that cap space to sign him long term, which would bring him thru his age 30 season
