Losing Hopkins hurt them.. Not sure they should blow shit up. I'd tell him, don't let the door hit ya, but we ain't giving you the extensions that Goff and Wentz got. Re-tool. Add weapons. And then add more weapons for depth.

If you're gonna go with an athletic QB with intent of him running around and using his legs for dual-threat then don't pay the position. THAT is the model for that approach IMO. Because there are mobile QBs in every draft. Just grab one every couple years and run your shitty/simple offense and use that money to load other positions for advantage.

Only way I would pay a QB top dollar is if he can stand in the pocket and deal. Barring that just have a stable of athletes at the position who are competitors and trot them out there as QB and RB. They're gonna get hurt, no worries, that's why you don't pay them. It becomes like the RB position.

Aints.

Asshole Face surely misses his old diminutive QB.
Cowherd had some good points on the Cards and Murray.

  1. They built the team around him.
  2. They are/were all in on him
  3. QB replacement will be tough to find
  4. He’s gotten better each year
  5. The big one- he’s been injured to some extent each year and he wants a commitment from the Cardinals as insurance. If he tears an ACL next year do they try to move him as damaged goods?

One thing I overlooked about all of these possible vet QBs moving is that this QB class is very weak. That ups these other teams asking price, but they would likely need to wait two or more years to draft a replacement.

I just posted this on a similar Kyler Murray thread at the Arizona Fan Forum site. They don't allow trolling, so am I safe?

It seemed like everything he threw in the pro bowl was knocked down at the line of scrimmage. Maybe he finally realizes he should have chosen baseball?
You actually watched that game.

I had it on at work in the background just to have something on and I would glance over from time to time and that game is a pure joke.

I was laughing at how bad it is played

Basically it is two hand touch

I watched a chunk of the first half with my son, who is a Chargers fan (I know, I know :)), and he wanted to see Herbert in the game. But everything he threw seemed to be getting knocked down. It was kind of embarrassing for him, to be honest.

Your bigger point very much stands though - it was horrible.

Local media is still guessing.
IMO it means he wants an extension.

Another opinion of mine is that while Murray may have some leadership/preparation issues, their biggest problem(s) are still GM and HC. Arizona has decided to stick with those two, so i can see that organization running off K.Murray and doing the wrong thing....yet again.

Keim is never going to build anything and Kingsbury is an OC.

I think you can win with Murray. He makes plays with his legs and with his arm. He is generally pretty accurate and makes good decisions.

He’s short and that hurts at times. And… I can’t explain those final 7 games, because he looked totally different. Maybe it WAS (at least partly) from not having Hopkins?

His persona moves between cocky and sulking. I don’t care for that. Its a little Cam Newton-ish.

So… I wouldn’t want to do a big extension… his injury history, and with age what kind of QB is he without wheels? He’s still young, but every day a little bit older…

If he’s playing hardball… hmm?

I think the little guy wants a LT extension. But AZ is looking to hold off and simply do the 5th year for now. Hence, he is being proactive and putting pressure on the FO now rather than later. He doesn’t want to play on what’s basically a one year contract.

Kyler has always been a cocky lil crybaby. Every time we kick his ass just look at his body language on the sideline or in his postgame pressers. Not a leader of men. That type of attitude is not ideal for a franchise QB, so I'm not surprised shit like this is going on. And the comments coming from his teammates say a lot too. Seems they're fed up with his persona.

How many years?
Not sure it matters, honestly. He can't play at that level.

And the way Keim drafts, that team would be totally hamstrung in terms of talent with that much money going to one position.

The short answer to the question is I have no idea. Haven't seen.

This is actually the first and only place I've seen that number.
