Source: WR Cooper Kupp to join Seahawks on 3-year deal

Former Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp has reached agreement on a three-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Friday.
Kupp was released by the Los Angeles Rams at the start of the new league year Wednesday, ending his eight-season run with the team.
He joined the Rams as a third-round pick in 2017 out of Eastern Washington, as part of Sean McVay's first draft class, and emerged as one of the game's best pass-catchers from the slot in the years since.
He had 62 receptions as a rookie, then topped 90 in both his third and fourth seasons.
But his best season came in 2021, when he won the receiving triple crown by leading the NFL in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947) and receiving touchdowns (16). He made his only Pro Bowl and was named the NFL's Offensive Player of the Year.
Kupp capped that season with eight catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams' Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals, which earned him the game's MVP award.
After the season, Kupp signed a three-year contract extension worth $80.1 million.
But Kupp has dealt with injuries in the three seasons since, playing in just 33 games. In 12 games during the 2024 season, Kupp had 67 catches for 710 yards and six touchdowns.
After the season, Kupp announced that the Rams were trying to trade him despite his desire to remain with the team. But with him being owed $20 million this season, no other team was willing to make a trade, leading to his release.
For his career, Kupp has 634 receptions for 7,776 receiving yards and 58 total touchdowns (57 receiving).
ESPN's Sarah Barshop contributed to this report.

There's a saying about the state of Washington that basically says if you are born there you can't wait to get out. But in the end you will always return. This is too bad. Kupp would have had a better passer with the Chargers. And a better coach. But Good luck Cooper and don't hurt us too much when we come to Washington.

This is why you don't get married to a player.

And you guys realize other teams can read our board right?

Stop crying about losing Kupp and giving them something to celebrate.

The guy can't beat man coverage anymore, this is why he's gone.

He's going to look super ugly in Suicide Blue and Vomit Green.

Who gives a shit if they read our board lol....any team that has a player they value would be pissed if they sign with a hated division rival. Fans will always vent about that. I'm sure Seattle fans hated when Wagner initially signed with us. I agree he's gonna look like shit in that uniform. I hope we light those fuckers up, Kupp included.

Yeah, I for once agree. I being a Kupp fan had a lot of thinking to do about this situation! I Understood it, but didnt have to like it. Rams decided your expensive contract was too much to pay out for a D-rob season(Prob giving him too much credit and Fuck D-rob too). Puka has had 2476 yards since he was drafted two years ago, Adams had 2207 on bad teams in last 2 years! Kupp had 2259 total in 3 years since the SB! TUTU was only 148 yards behind him last year and started 6 games less than him. Just the Thought of 3 1000 yard WR potential ( prob wont happen but I still believe in TUTU) is exciting, and we have a healthy Big-Rig Higs back!

Look, Kupp will be a Ram for life, but the next 3 years hes SEA! He made the decision to go there, and it helps me get over he left easier! I get wanting to go "Home", but all the other teams and decided on a Rival in our division. You could have Went to the AFC and we would have still loved you! Hell, I would have even accepted the Eagles or TB, Maybe even Lions at this point. Until you sign that 1-day retirement contract as a RAM ( because I think the bridge has been burned as a player), you are a Bitch-Pigeon! Respectfully we love you, but Fuck-off!

All aboard the Makea Train to the Superbowl!

LOL - right,sure dude.

I’m happy for Kupp, but he & EJ53 are looking to F”Mcvay & The Rams up.

Checkout what Cohen just did to The Rams with the Jags.Dog eat dog world.

Kupp is a Legend in HAGTOWN Now!! I’m not going to root against him & he is the Ultimate Professional. —ALL last season I yelled at Mcvay, hopefully Sean Mcvay steps this OFFENSE The F”UP!!

My hope as well is Mcvay & The Rams are right on this decision!!
—I’ll take Adams & Jihaad Campbell over both those Hags all day long.

Not the news I wanted to wake up to this morning.

I bear no animosity towards Coop on this: the Rams decided they no longer needed him, so he is free to go wherever he wants. As he is from the North West, this move makes perfect sense from him. All this gnashing of teeth that he has moved to a divisional rival is pointless: once the Rams decided he was surplus to requirements, he became free to choose his own destination.

But he is nobody to me now, same as any other former player. When you're wearing the Rams' colours, you have my unequivocal support; once you're gone, I couldn't care less about you. Bit like girlfriends, really.

Well this sucks. But guys, we are fans and our dislike for some other teams can run deep.
But these guys are pro players, its a business. Few have the hatred fans do for rivals.
They need to do what is best for them and their families.
All will be forgotten when he signs a one day contract and retires a RAM.
Still kinda wish they had kept him around as a player-coach. He would have been fantastic in that role IMO.

For now, he's the enemy. I hope we light his ass up when we play him. No mercy.

After retirement, it's all good again! :laugh1:

When I read the Cowboys were in the mix yesterday I cringed a little—kind of relieved it didn’t go that way, for myself and for Kupp’s sake.

Saw this coming from a mile away. Love the player, but hate his jersey.

I asked if Zorn gave him blessings for #10.

As if anyone couldn't tell, numbers are very important to me... uh, since...

Why would he need Zorn's blessing? Its not retired.
Nwosu is currently wearing #10 but may end being a cap cut

Not my favorite landing spot for him.

Then again; he’s eating a chunk of their cap space and the rest of the league wasn’t jumping all over him when released. He’s not the same player he was.
