Source: WR Cooper Kupp to join Seahawks on 3-year deal

Former Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp has reached agreement on a three-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Friday.
Kupp was released by the Los Angeles Rams at the start of the new league year Wednesday, ending his eight-season run with the team.
He joined the Rams as a third-round pick in 2017 out of Eastern Washington, as part of Sean McVay's first draft class, and emerged as one of the game's best pass-catchers from the slot in the years since.
He had 62 receptions as a rookie, then topped 90 in both his third and fourth seasons.
But his best season came in 2021, when he won the receiving triple crown by leading the NFL in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947) and receiving touchdowns (16). He made his only Pro Bowl and was named the NFL's Offensive Player of the Year.
Kupp capped that season with eight catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams' Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals, which earned him the game's MVP award.
After the season, Kupp signed a three-year contract extension worth $80.1 million.
But Kupp has dealt with injuries in the three seasons since, playing in just 33 games. In 12 games during the 2024 season, Kupp had 67 catches for 710 yards and six touchdowns.
After the season, Kupp announced that the Rams were trying to trade him despite his desire to remain with the team. But with him being owed $20 million this season, no other team was willing to make a trade, leading to his release.
For his career, Kupp has 634 receptions for 7,776 receiving yards and 58 total touchdowns (57 receiving).
ESPN's Sarah Barshop contributed to this report.

Well shit. I was hoping he wouldn't go to a division rival. I want to wish him well but not if thats the team we're battling for the division. I hope he catches 12 passes for 150 yards in every loss.

I'll respect everyone's opinion on Kupp.

I dont' hate that he's with Seattle. The Rams are a far superior team to Seattle. I'll root for him, he's one of the main reasons the Rams have another Super Bowl. On my personal list of all time favorite Rams. Along with Bruce, Faulk, Slater, Youngblood, Pace, Warner, S Jackson, and others.

End of the day, it's a game within a business.
I respect your position and I get he’s looking after himself but on the other side the fun aspect of the game are the grudges etc.

The game becomes transactional. I long for the days of great players playing their whole careers with one team.

Not just specifically with Kupp but I dislike becoming like the modern NBA.

To me, it definitely shows there is bitterness there on his part. Can't say that didn't factor in at all. Lost just a little respect for him on that one, but he'll get it back once he finishes his shit contract with that shit team lol
I disagree, his Family is in Washington….he didn’t force the Rams to cut him. My respect for Kupp will live long beyond his playing days.

Just like when Ike went to the niners, I will no longer be rooting for Kupp. I know the Rams cut him but, he had other options than to get in bed with the enemy. And, no Seattle was not his home.
Yakima is not Seattle, you are right, but he went to the team closest to his family.

You are entitled to your opinion but no one can convince me that getting us twice a year didn't add to bis interest of signing with Shitattle. I did say a little with an lol by the way. Wish he signed outside the division regardless of where he's from. This signing stings.

C'mon, you mean to tell me he doesn't know that staying in division means he gets to try to stick it to us twice a year? Yeah there is definitely bitterness in that decision.
If it were you or me, we would feel the same way.... Any competitor would.

Sick to my stomach. I'm fairly certain we got him at his best though and got the most we could get out of him.

Appreciate everything he did for the Rams.

Don't think it'll be the same getting the ball from Darnold, he will find that out pretty quick.

I'm glad Kupp went home to the Seahawks. It's where his heart is. Good luck Cooper.

AFC destination would have been tidier for us. Hope he has a good career then comes back to us as a coach ...

My favorite quote from the Seahawks board about signing Kupp:
"This is great. We are gonna be fun to watch. Bye geno bye DK bye Felicia. Hello Super Bowl!!!!"
