Karty made his first 6 kicks without issue (2XP, 4FG) so I'm not sure what happened

need to be able to execute kicks at the end of the game.

If you can't do this you really almost have zero chance of winning it all.

So what can we really do, needing an OT a Center a CB and a TE. I get it they love Shelton, I'm not buying it.

Long snapper blew it. Whiffed on the guy who blocked the last kick, his guy.
They are replaceable. Get another one, send a message.
Losing like that must not be tolerated.

This could be true, that was discussed in other threads. Not sure, but if the kicks are low, they need to make the adjustment pronto and as I have posted in other threads, it is time to cut ties with Beaux Limmer.
Okay, sure. Then who's our backup center?

If I could choose 1 moment in the game to alter ever so slightly, its that first slant to Adams in the endzone. It was less then a 10 yard throw but Stafford airmailed it. Adams had his guy beat and just needed a average to below average throw and we score a TD rather then have to kick a FG. I'm not asking for much here.
Exactly. The only reason we looked bad in the redzone is the 2 overthrows. I mean those looked like Caleb Williams throws in the first game of the season against the Vikings. They weren't even close.

Davis Allen? #87 on the left side was insanely late AND whiffed!

on 1 of those field goals it looked like the ball never got spotted, it was lying flat and not on it's tip.

Havenstien was in the middle of the field goal team???

For sure is was Limmer that got bulldozed on the last one.

Justin Dedich played center for a couple of years at USC.
Okay, sure. There's some projection there because he hasn't played that position in a while but rn Dedich is our primary backup OG who's currently starting because of injury. So that still leaves us without a backup C?

My point is I understand the heartache and disappointment atm but we've already replaced him as a starter in the offseason and we're not going to find much better as a backup on short notice midseason.

The guy is a 6th round draft pick three games into his second year. Why is literally right now the time to cut ties? With the injuries on the interior OL we currently have? And are we conceding that it's impossible for players to develop and improve so early into their career?

This game will be defined by those two blocked kicks.

But what Karty did off the kick-off all day was incredible.
That was a major advantage he provided for our team the entire game.
He was that one kick away from being STs player of the week. It would have been his 5th FG and and all those knuckle ball KOs were dominating.

BTW, I saw a breakdown somewhere, I forget which talking head (getting old) showed this, but it showed that every FG, the Eagles were getting closer to blocking a kick, which only motivated them to really keep pressuring that weak side and game planning it until they got both those kicks. You could say, had they not settled for so many FGs earlier, maybe they never get to that point of perfecting that play. Of course an extra TD here or there and it wouldn't have come down to it.

They break it down here

Dedich played center in preseason and that was his primary position at USC.

Karty's kickoffs are a weapon for field position. But I gotta wonder, Did practicing those low kicks affect his field goal kicks? Subconsciously kicking lower than before? I don't know what the problem is, but its something they gotta fix fast. If blocked kicks continue to be a problem we're gonna lose more games.
I immediately thought the same.

listening to McVay - because of injuries and other things - diff people in those spots all season.

Causing some problems.
