This mock assumes that Jameis Winston goes #1. Sadly, no Cardale Jones available...and I am very disappointed about that.
Restructure
Sam Bradford - 1 year $9 million(all guaranteed)

Released
Jake Long OT
Kendall Langford DT
Scott Wells C
Eugene Sims DE
Isaiah Pead HB
Total Cap Savings: $18.7 million
Total Cap Room: $24.7 million

Re-signed Players
Kenny Britt - 4 years $20 million($4 million first year)
Joe Barksdale - 4 years $24 million($5 million first year)
Mike Person - 1 year $745,000
Cory Harkey - ERFA($645,000)
Rodney McLeod - RFA($1.4 million - Original Round)
Total Cap Spent: $11.8 million
Total Cap Room: $12.9 million

Free Agency
Leger Douzable DT
med_gallery_5331_85_72722.jpg

2 years $3 million($1.5 million first year)

Douzable is a rotational DT that can step into the run stuffer role and is even capable of playing some DE when needed.

Clint Boling OL
boling120120_440.jpg

4 years $18 million($3.5 million first year)

Andy Dalton has been one of the least pressured and sacked QBs in the NFL this year and Jeremy Hill has had a strong year as a runner behind the Bengals OL. Boling has started the majority of his games at LG but moved over to RT for a couple games when he was needed. He's a versatile player that can play either OG spot and RT when needed. Isn't an elite talent but he's a solid starting OG.

John Conner FB
4934511827_aeefcd30ea.jpg

1 year $1 million

Kendricks departs via FA for a starting job elsewhere so we decide to move Harkey to TE full time in Kendricks's old role and bring in John Conner to play FB for us.

Trades
St. Louis trades HB Zac Stacy
Tennessee trades 6th round pick(#2)

St. Louis trades #10, 3rd round(#8), and 2016 1st
Washington trades #5

St. Louis trades 2nd round(#9)
Dallas trades 2nd round(#28) and 3rd round(#27)

Stacy trade has been in nearly every one of my mocks. I think it would be smart to trade him this off-season while he has value.

Some will say that Washington wouldn't deal with us after the RGIII trade but I think that's exactly why they will. Their new GM is known for being a draft guru and has no reason to hold ill will towards the Rams. They need to add talent and this is a good way for them to recoup picks from that trade. Washington is going to stick by RGIII for at least another year so Marcus Mariota isn't an option either ways for them.

Dallas is an aggressive team on draft day. They lose DeMarco Murray so they decide to move up in the second to draft his replacement...most likely Tevin Coleman from Indiana. We recoup a third round pick that we lost in the trade up.

Would love it if we could get Marriotta for 2 firsts and a 3rd.

I would prefer a return specialist in the later rnds and previously mocked.

Tons of olinemen. Love it. Would still like a center early in the draft if available

Do you think it would take 6 mill a year to keep Barksdale?

Don't really know. Would be more comfortable keeping him for less but I try to be conservative with my valuations.

On Mariota/Winston, call me crazy but I think the deal will be there at #4 or #5. The question is if we pull the trigger and if the Jets are willing to outbid us. I don't think they are.

Let's hope Washington and RGME can rekindle some of the love they had on their honeymoon.

Jones still scares me at center. Although, having veteran guards on both sides of him would certainly help his development.

I just can't see Washington being willing to move on quite yet from RGIII.

I think we're going to roll with Jones or Rhaney this year. Just can't see them wanting to start a rookie Center. I'd make an exception for Erving but I passed on him to get his teammate and that extra third. I think Jones can handle it. Plus, Matias and Ogbuehi have sky high potential. Ogbuehi may not play in 2015 due to the torn ACL and still needs a lot of development but if you can get his technique shored up, kid can be a Pro Bowl talent anywhere on the OL. Reminds me of Branden Albert. Has incredible feet.

Matias also needs some development but would likely start at some point in 2015 unless Boling was just killing it. Huge, powerful, and a lot more athletic than you'd expect.

Could have the best OL in the NFL in 2016 or 2017.

I like the veteran mix on the oline. Takes the pressure off the young guys.
I agree on placing a lot of value on footwork. It's the most important technique in all facets of sports imo. Doesn't matter what position or sport

I could see a situation where Washington takes Marriotta if he falls to them. Then trading RG to the jets.

Salary cap is being predicted to hit 140 million this year. With current contracts that would put the Rams und by about 5 million. Added to the 24 you save that gives them 29 million to work with in free agency. They could go after Wisniewski no problem.

Rams are under by around a million right now...not counting the small amount of rollover money we have.

As far as Wisniewski goes, I don't see it happening. Oakland has far more money than we do and there will likely be other teams that can offer similar money and a better shot at winning. But I won't be upset if it happens.

I can't see the Jets trading for RGIII.

Just can't see Washington getting enough value to give up on him.

I would do back flips if we landed Wisnieski.
However. The Raiders were going to give Saffold the farm and the keys to the tractor last year. Unless Steve really wants out. I don't see it.
Would be great though.

I think Cleveland has the ammo to outbid us. That's a team to keep your eye on.

I'm also not sure if Stacy has any trade value. This is a very good RB class and there will be quality free agent RBs who can be signed fairly cheap.

I can dig it, but I don't think Ogbuehi makes it out of the 2nd, much less to the end of 3. Maybe swap that choice with Andy Gallik, C from Boston College.

I don't see the Browns giving up on Manziel so won't trade up IMO for a QB that's why Kyle Shanahan left because IMO, he did not believe in Johnny Football.

I would love this draft because it offers hope and as Ram fans we've been going through so much lately with not having a winning record, no postseason and playing the game a stadium here a stadium there. The only question I would have is if Bradford and Mariota is on the same team, who would don the number 8? Obviously Sam so I would hope Mariota would take number 18.

Again @jrry32 thank you so much for these I for one enjoy each and everyone of them!

The owner fired a coach after one year. He isn't known for patience.

True, however, IMO it hangs on who they bring in as OC. I believe right now Manziel is in their plans and they give him an opportunity to be the starter, but you're correct I've seen stranger things from this organization and if they want to move up they undoubtedly have the ammunition.

Mariota is such a question mark for me. I know we have to upgrade the qb position and I'm assuming we'd be hoping to red-shirt him as long as possible, but I'd hate to give up that first next year, even if it would ideally be towards the bottom of the round.

As long as Redskins don't want more, I would ecstatic with this draft. Sets us up for the future, but allows us to be contenders in 2015 as well. You really have a knack for this stuff Jrry. I can't complain.

The only issue I have is that because Mariota is a "franchise QB" type prospect, the Redskins might want even more than that.. Though now that I think about it, the drop off in talent between 5 and 10 might not be as big of a deal in this draft. Depends on how they see it.

#18 - Wasn't that Roman Gabriel's number? One of my alltime favorite Rams player (One Tough QB!)!
