Joyner was a missed PI call away or even 3x run calls by Payton away from being the reason we lost that game. Nothing whatevs about that tbh. He's hurt us all season long, and he needs to do better in this next game.

Important as hell when discussing trying to win this superbowl.

No. Doesn't tackle well enough. His ball-skills and speed are great, but you can't trust him to make the key tackle.
Would you give him more playing time, considering the receivers we will see in the Superbowl? Smaller, less speed, etc .

Safety position in FA is solid though, so there's a good chance they address safety that route and leave the draft for CB and DL.
Theres one or two safeties in the draft that I like that will be much cheaper than a FA and still better than Joyner. I think we need to use FA on cheaper positions (NT, ILB) abd stick to our strengths in the draft .we do really well developing safties .

I agree. But when there's options out there in FA that can help you in an area that's hurt us like safety, it makes sense to scoop one of them. Doesn't preclude us from drafting one too, but the key here is we don't have a lot of picks in the draft so the Rams need to fill four spots (ROLB, ILB, S, NT). I'd love to hear Wade's take on Fowler, who has played reasonably well in the playoffs and might represent an option for us, but he's a pure financial decision.

IMO this defense is close to being elite. It's exciting to think about even with the Super Bowl on the near horizon. :p

We need to draft a safety. We can’t afford a solid FA and Joyner is no longer worth his price tag. Our offseason draft priority should be
1) SS
2) ILB
3) OLB
4) C
5) LG
6) CB

Need a NT and another 5 tech DE.

If they think Sebastian Joeseph-Day can step up next year then maybe only one DL, but they need some more youth and athleticism on that line so even if Suh comes back you can cut his snap totals to make him more effective.
