Well fuck. We’re paying for these last couple of years of good injury luck.

Is this one of those designated to return IR situations?

I think anyone can return from IR, but they can only return 2 (maybe 1, not sure). Anyway I am 90% certain that the "designated to return" thing is determined and assigned later.

Damn, sucks, he's one of my favorite guys in our secondary. Him and Rapp will be locking down the back end for years, but we'll miss him back there for sure in my opinion.

Fuck me! I saw the play where he tried to tackle one of the niners near the goal line and whiffed, but he immediately grabbed his arm. Didn't look all that bad on TV, but you never know. When I heard about him wanting a second opinion, I figured it was bad. Next man up, I guess.

This is what we get for being virtually injury free for two years.

If I had to guess I’d say labrum tear since he fell on his shoulder with his arm extended outward. For normal, non athletes there’s a 2-4 month recovery time at least. So I’d say 8 weeks minimal. If we’re still in the playoff hunt there’s a chance he’ll be back.

If it’s rotator cuff... he’s not back this year period. He’ll be doing rehab in the offseason for that.
