He won being a Cowboy and media competing for the clicks.
Most Cowboys fans think they won the SB last year.
A comparison of stats over the past three seasons is not that close. Goff’s #s are better.

We do this to ourselves over and over. Why do we post opinion pieces from sports writers who are just trying to fill column space in their website or blog and debate the contents for days? Especially these ranked lists. We know the Rams need to play better on both sides of the ball next season. We know that we have two new coordinators and a new special teams coach. We lost free agents, gained free agents and drafted some college kids. We have more unknowns than most teams, but that doesn’t matter until the real games are played, whenever that is. Until then, articles like this one are from people expressing their opinion like they hold some kind of crystal ball, which they don’t. I care what the Rams coaches, front office and players have to say and everyone else, I don’t care what sportswriters say unless they are reporting an injury or transaction. Don't get yourself worked up over stuff like this.
Goff was put in a bad situation last year where McVay was determined to use his 11 personnel for the first 11 games of the year.Agree completely but Goff had great protection that night.
Every QB is better with strong protection but the range of performance between good and poor protection varies for QBs.
Mobile QBs are usually more effective when dealing with pressure; and that’s not Goff.
Some QBs that lack mobility, are tremendous at getting the ball out of their hands. Brady is great at that, and Brees is very good. The offensive scheme is also a factor. Does it offer quick/short receiver options to the QBs.
QBs that are a little careless with the ball get burned more often under pressure. In my opinion that is Goff’s weakness.
The positive (and this is just my opinion) is that when he has quality protection, Jared Goff throws the ball as well as any QB in the game. That Vikings’ game is a great example.
The negative right now (again, just my opinion) is that when under pressure, Goff falls back to no better than average.
The range of performance between good and poor protection is huge for Goff.
Fair post. I'll just throw in there that our receivers really struggled last season to get open too. Cooks' play taking a nosedive really affected Goff's options, and he doesn't get much cred for what he did well, namely managing to keep our scoring in that top third range. Just so many pass plays last season where guys were blanketed and the run game certainly contributed but the wideouts and even the gameplanning were suspect.
I'm not sure there's so many QBs who would have gotten us where Goff did. IMO the nature of the OL, the run game, and the wideouts as a whole made it extremely tough on Jared. And as long as the run game and protections improve this season IMO we are going to see him make a big jump back into that top group.
This stuff is just impossible to prove either way, it's all perceptions. But honestly I don't know any QB who had more elements working against him last season than Goff. And he gutted through it, never complained, and kept learning. So as to where he is on that chart one can argue fairly all over the place. But I still believe in him. And it's one of the reasons I was so hell bent on them addressing the OL, because I didn't want to see the kid set up for failure yet again. So got my fingers crossed here that's for sure.![]()
^^^^This!!^^^If we can concoct a legitimate running game, Goff will shine - big time!
While that guy is a toolbag, there's nothing wrong with liking football, D&D, and Sith Lords. This Guy

Is rating NFL players?
Not to much to get upset about.
Guy is probably better at ranking Sith Lords than D&D helmet of disintegration.
There is a discrepancy when your knowledge in order goes 1. Sith Lords 2. D&D 3. FootballWhile that guy is a toolbag, there's nothing wrong with liking football, D&D, and Sith Lords.
LMFAO You are only now figuring out how bad this guy is? He's always been so bias it isn't funny. Every one of his so called evaluations is reeking of his personal bias. Murray? He's done nothing. He's limited in his college-level schemes. He's proved he can't carry a team by himself. River's has done just that and has a HOF career but he rates Murray above him?
How do you rate Wentz above Goff? Wentz can't even stay healthy. Even Philly is already looking beyond Wentz, they didn't draft Hurts to sit on the bench. They have an out on his contract from next year on. If Carson gets hurt again this year and Hurts plays well, they will look to trade or release Wentz after this year. So he rates Wentz as a bonafide franchise QB? LMFAO He rates him that high because rated Wentz as the best QB in his draft class. Carson is good, but if he can't stay healthy it doesn't mean much if he can't finish a season. Carson IMO is another Stafford type QB, who is good when healthy and with a team around him. But in 4 years, Carson has been injured in the last 3 years. The Eagles drafting Hurts says a lot about the Eagles FO's concern.
