Even the best reporters play connect the dots - especially when they know no one is going to officially refute their story. A reporter really has nothing to lose on these kinds of stories. But if they are repeatedly cited by others in media, they are getting clicks and looks. That’s primarily how they are making their money these days.

The Rams are not going to reveal any of the negotiations and neither were the Steelers or the phins. Breer could have easily heard the Rams gave Miami a call as soon as the word that Ramsey wanted out hit the presses. I’m sure the Rams did call them at that point or maybe Miami contacted Les as soon as Ramsey made his position known.

Did they go much deeper into negotiations than that? Who knows. But from what our organization was saying, it didn’t look like they were taking it all that seriously - probably from sticker shock and realizing they were not going to go anywhere near where other teams might.

Ramsey has made it clear that he loved his time with the Rams. The Rams are known for the “all in” narrative. Les is known for making bold moves. The league knows Les is not afraid to pick up the phone and test the waters. The entire media and most of the fan base consider our CB room to be a glaring weakness. Connect the dots.

I tend to belief Breer has solid sources. He’s one of the better reporters imo. I don’t think he risks the reputation that took years to build by simply connecting the dots, and reporting things as factual. That’s more a tactic for people trying to get lucky.

Either way it doesn’t matter. If you choose to think Breer is faking his reports, it’s no skin off my back.

I'd like to know what the Rams were offering. Maybe it'll eventually come out.

Breer, like any other good reporter, quotes sources. I don't think that he's faking anything, as all he has said is, the Rams were the only other team 'interested'.

He wouldn't lose any credibility if it became known, they only offered a 6th round pick and wanted Miami to pay some cash. That qualifies as 'interested'.

Like I said hopefully we'll eventually find out to what degree.

Please don't. I stated my opinion....... Once........ and I am not a paint sprayer
It's just that you stated an opinion with 100% certainty and that is just begging for an argument.

Now if you had said that Ramsey probably would have been beaten whether AD got to Burrow or not, then I would have zero problem with your statement. It's your opinion and you could be right. I just have a different opinion and I could be right.

Don't know and don't really care any more about that - it's just the 100% certainty statement that I have a beef with.

Cheers

I swear this place turns into a sewing circle this time of year. Some of you will bicker over fucking ANYTHING.

Also, Ramsey was beat like a rented mule on the final play of SB56. AD did AD things and saved the Rams season.

Argue with a paint sprayer....
Way to try to add fuel to a fire.

You found a meat beater. Was always a Jalen Fan just to keep it together.

I like Ahkello SO much more & his upside is nice.He brings a lot to the table.Ramsey is a great player. He is an excellent tackler. He does get exposed at times & even if he was beat,he could have read the play well ?! It’s SO in the past.

Emanuel Forbes is going to be a joy to watch as a Ram.He has such a high skill level. That reach & body control. IMO - he’ll make a play in 2025 that’s jaw breaking.

Also - the Steelers letting Ahkello go was a mistake. We’ll all see on Sunday’s that The Rams played there cards right.

Especially with Alaric Jackson getting a blood clot.Being able to sign to veteran OT’s is such a luxury.
The hope is Alaric Jackson is healthy, but in the meantime The Rams push players to be better.

Mcvay believes in team & players growth .The willingness to learn & continue to improve, AJ is a perfect example of that.McClendon needs to earn his spot.

I am no longer arguing about the play. I am just stating I have beefs with 100% certainty statements. Pet peeve of mine. Sue me.

If you ever see me say something, I almost always say "I believe" unless I am stating a statistic. If I don't, well I meant to and you can call me out on it. And I will admit to it every time.

Edit - Maybe I should just post this from now on whenever I see a 100% certainty statement. Probably just save a lot of time.

the dude your opinion GIF

3 things I'm sure of as a 62 year old: death (no explanation needed), taxes (thank God I dont pay CA taxes though), and just because you get the last word in doesn't mean you win the argument. Sometimes conversations can just die with no winners or losers.

Unflattering report emerges about Jalen Ramsey’s Dolphins tenure

The Miami Dolphins traded cornerback Jalen Ramsey last week, but some new claims suggest that the move was a long time coming.

Miami Sun-Sentinel sports columnist Dave Hyde wrote this week that Ramsey had worn out his welcome with the Dolphins thanks to some controversial behavior over the past few years. Hyde claims that Ramsey was regularly late to practices, and would at times show up while the rest of the team was already stretching.

In addition, Ramsey was accused of undermining former defensive coordinator Vic Fangio in 2023, and supposedly did the same to coach Mike McDaniel in 2024 “in a manner that spread like a bad odor through the larger team.”

Interestingly, the Dolphins signed Ramsey to a big new contract while all this was going on. At that point, they clearly felt that either Ramsey was not a big problem, or that the issues were worth putting up with to keep his high-level play. The frustration with Fangio was not much of a secret at that point, though by that point, the defensive coordinator had left the organization.

Ramsey was ultimately traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, who got former Dolphins DB Minkah Fitzpatrick back in return. There were some signals that the Los Angeles Rams were motivated to move on from Ramsey in 2023, so one could argue this is becoming a trend.
