Remember also that Shad Khan wanted to buy the Rams at one point.
Yeah... had he bought them, pretty sure they'd still be in STL.

He has shown - through his actions as JAX owner that is he what we porported when he was being talked about as a buyer of the Rams:
He has resources (I think the third richest owner in the NFL, behind Kroenke)
He cares (has made significant improvements to JAX stadium)

He's a good owner... Rams would have been in good hands had he bought them.

Many of the reasons discussed are totally relevant. The big one........taxes.

If you were a player would you take that big of a pay cut?

Scheduling will be a nightmare.

And the big one.

Fans embrace a game a year in London. Will they fill the stadium for 8?

London Rams sounds terrible.
Wembley Wams worser!

The Jaguars are not moving sorry. Khan, while buying this stadium, is also investing close to $2 billion in Jacksonville around the stadium. He clearly has seen what Stan is doing and wants the same kind of investment.

I didn't know he was doing that, but yeah that solidifies the Jags staying since they would be the draw. Stan is biulding the biggest to date, but this type of thing has been going on for many years as new stadiums get built. I think the trend began with the new Orioles stadium in Baltimore but I could be mistaken.

In CLE they city made concerted effort with team owners to build all 3 stadiums in the city, with the Indians and Cavs so close you could throw a baseball between them and hit one of them. It enhanced the value of the property all over that part of downtown and developers came in and put in all kinds of different things. It was smart urban planning.

Now super wealthy owners are doing it themselves from stadium to surrounding area.

It started smaller, like Ballpark Village in STL, but man has it grown. And it will continue to grow too..........I think it will anyway.

Here is a pic of CLE. Look in the top right corner and you will see the Browns Stadium (AKA Factory of Sadness) and look how close the Cavs home and the Indians home are. Literally next door. All of the bigger buildings are to the right and not in the picture, and you can really see the street to see how it has grown. Plus this is an older pic, seeing it today versus what it was is like night and day.

The English are fucking raging about this proposal and that, my friends, is nearly always the sign of a good idea.

I could see the Jags being the first multi city franchise. 4 home games in London, 4 Home games in Jacksonville.

Interesting to hear your assessment. Is that pretty prevalent there? How about in Scotland?

Depends what side of the argument you fall on in Scotland. We're 50/50 split on it. Those of us who favour independence would tend to agree with my assessment. Those who still see value in the union of Great Britain would disagree. There will be plenty of English people who think along the same lines though.

We're kind of going off topic. Wembley is iconic and a huge part of the English national psyche. It would be like a British guy buying the statue of liberty. Most of the reaction has been 'why do we need to sell it at all?'

Yeah I seen that vote that was about 50/50 on independence for you guys. Since I used to be with a girl from Northern Ireland I've learned the political landscape in the UK and I follow to this day. It's very interesting to me and why I ask. I never cared about the royals etc. until after dating her. Man those people in NI are a trip and a half.

And wth? Wembley is seriously a national icon there?Wow. Interesting. Maybe because we have a million big ass stadiums here I take them for granted as normal.

p.s. thinking sometime this year of going and walking Hadrians Wall... IDK but been obsessed with it since I was young. My mother says it's because of reincarnation etc. but IDK about all that but I find it rather appealing hiking for 30-40 miles down it. To your knowledge is this normal? And will I encounter any issues?

So the whole of Hadrians wall isn't really there any more. There are parts you can visit. You could hike the route but you would only be running alongside the wall itself for parts of the journey. To be honest there are bigger, better, more established hiking routes in Scotland that i would recommend if that's your thing. There's a lovely hike from Fort William in the West to Inverness in the East that takes you along the full shoreline of loch Ness. Its beautiful and accessible. Would take maybe 4/5 days. If you come give me a shout and I'll take you for a whisky!

Because the preeminent british company is termed Jaguar... Even though they pronounce it wrong, damn limeys butchering American English wtf...

To be fair, Dick Stockton butchered the word “Jag-wahz” worse than any Limey ever could
