It wasn’t the 9ers lol. It’s for non football reasons
It was the death of his child. He and wife and want away from it all
And I can't say I blame them. I'd want to get away from a place where such a horrible thing happened as well.

Damn that sucks for him. Getting outta Cali ain't gonna help but a lil bit. Wish him all the luck in regards to that situation. That kind of fucked up shit stays with you forever unfortunately. It wasn’t the 9ers lol. It’s for non football reasons

I wouldn’t rule out anything. It’s not like Snead and the Rams have been showing their hand at all in the last few years.Been looking at some mock drafts lately and in some Jeanty is still on the board when we pick at 26. Not going to happen I know but I can picture McVay sprinting to the podium if he's there.
This. And this team has enough holes in it that hard to argue them going in any particular way in the draft. Sure, perhaps FA changes that but doubt we'll be signing any huge difference makers that we won't go after guys at just about any position in the draft that we want.I wouldn’t rule out anything.
Leaving the place doesn't do much for a person dealing with that sort of thing, at least not in my experience..Damn that sucks for him. Getting outta Cali ain't gonna help but a lil bit. Yeah its a rough situation no matter what. I feel for them big time as I'm sure most folks would massively struggle with such a loss. I can't even begin to imagine what they are going through. Life has a funny way of giving us little reminders of things that have passed no matter where we are at in life. I wish them the best in dealing with the heart break.Leaving the place doesn't do much for a person dealing with that sort of thing, at least not in my experience..
But, each person is different.
I think that might be possible.Been looking at some mock drafts lately and in some Jeanty is still on the board when we pick at 26. Not going to happen I know but I can picture McVay sprinting to the podium if he's there.
I think McVay knows he can get another slot weapon in the 6th, or 5th if we trade back and get one, and he will go for the X weapon earlier.Funny thing about Jeanty is I had a dream we drafted him, which struck me as very strange given that I don't think he will make it to 26. But if he does make it there then I have to think he's the pick. And then they circle back with the round 3 pick to get a slot weapon, whether it's a TE or WR source position.
I don't prefer that btw. I want the TE or an X if one of value is there. If not then move down, take a need, and add a pick. Unless of course someone very high on their board slides. Which Jeanty would almost certainly qualify as.
It sure would be tempting. But I'd still pass & get either an X WR or a TE, even if he's still there. There's just so much value at RB in this draft, and like was mentioned above, Jeanty is actually not much different than KW or BC except Jeanty has great balance.Funny thing about Jeanty is I had a dream we drafted him, which struck me as very strange given that I don't think he will make it to 26. There's an argument out there for both RB and TE, that each position group is so deep that it may actually push down the top prospects with teams thinking they can get one later. It sure would be tempting. Even TE is deep in this draft. I'm not so sure about WR tho...
So, if we were to do an "offense heavy" draft, for optimum draft value, I'd go WR at #26 & then TE & RB in rd 3. Then spend our FA $s on Defense.
I agree on WR if it's there, or TE for me as the priority. But that said every time Jeanty runs a wheel route it's a threat to go to the house. Every screen he catches same. He's special. And when he's on turf the dude is lightning, quickness and contact balance plus long speed. It sure would be tempting. But I'd still pass & get either an X WR or a TE, even if he's still there. If Jeanty is there at 26 that would mean he ran 4.5 40 and failed a drug test.If Jeanty is sitting there at 26 then McVay will be doing back flips and sprinting with the card to the podium
I think finding a WR1 is gonna be near impossible in FA and draft this year. Additionally, we do have Nacua as WR1 so really we're looking for a WR2 who ideally would be an X receiver. It sure looks like FA won't have that (Godwin maybe but he's not strictly an X, I don't think) and outside of McMillian not sure there's much pickings there in the draft)I’m gonna say Rams resign AJax, Hoecht, DRob, Spoon. After that:
Got to Haves:
WR1 - replace the likely loss of Kupp
OT - swing until Hav retires
CB1 - DWill is toast
ILB1 - team with Speights
Nice to Haves:
TE - pair with Higs for 12 formations
RB - game changing breakaway threat
NT - replace BBrown if not resigned
Depth:
WR4 - compete with other signed WRs
CB4 - compete with other signed CBs
I think they put remaining FA $$ towards WR1 and ILB1. So that leaves the other 7 thru the draft.
