I know Californians, especially in SoCal are used to sunny skies and so have rarely experienced the local new stations going WAAAAAY overboard with adverse weather coverages like in other places where I've lived. In Portland during a supposed snow storm of the century, they had reporters on overpasses or by highways showing you horrible it all was.....often, there were only snow flurries instead of the forecasted Snowmaggedon. Meanwhile my bosses for Greyhound didn't want to hear anything if the roads were not closed by the state. Even if they were, we'd often get sent out under the idea that the road would be open when we got there. Getting stuck at a truck stop with 30 plus passengers for 20 hours of road closure is all kinds of fun. I'd get approached over and over with "Is the road open yet? question" As though I had some inside track....lol

Anyway, officials may think they are saving lives when they hype a storm event, but crying wolf will bite you in the ass eventually.

One thing not mentioned in SoCal are rain wrapped tornados, which tropical systems produce as they come ashore. Following one on the ground with your vehicle is not recommended, unless you are @Mackeyser

One good thing for your trip to Vegas on Sunday night is that a lot of people will be scared of travelling up there during the storm. You might have to slow it down to 75 mph, cuz of safety and shyte...

I’ve been through many hurricanes. My advice…don’t panic, but take it seriously.

I guess the stadium didn't fare to well in some areas during the national championship game.
So Foolio gets some footage of one person being carted off and takes the opportunity to wag his finger at SK. Love his twatty little line about Stan's yacht. leave it to that baby door to find anything he can to be a douche toward the Rams and SK.

I've been to several stadiums and have seen people slip and fall/ get carted off. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is mostly a non-story.

As usual, much ado about nothing

Well, the rain we received in L.A. was very welcomed. The north-eastern part of So.Cal. was hit harder, along with parts of Arizona & Nevada. I'm hoping Lake Mead is able to capture a few additional feet to their still rather low water level.

So I was gonna go on a trip up north this weekend with my buddy from Palm Springs... but unfortunately he got Covid, so we had to cancel our plane tix and AirbnbB reservations.

Since he had to stay home in Palm Springs, he spent all of Saturday prepping for Hilary... and all day Sunday hooking up a drainage system and hauling buckets of water away from his property. If he had been gone, his whole house would have been flooded! (and he doesn't have any flood insurance)

One of the rare instances where someone was "lucky" to get covid... otherwise his house would have been flooded while he was gone! Palm Springs got slammed by the storm.

He's doing okay with the Covid BTW, he's healing up...

My wife and daughter flew out to see Taylor Swift at SOFI a few weeks back.

What kind of loser Ram fan am I that they made it there before me.

New Life Goal: Get a hot sugar mama that likes going to Rams games.
