Our Oline pass protection IMO looks better because our run game is so good. Not only can’t the defense pin their ears back and rush, but we are now in third and 2 vs third and long more often.

I am not sure Jackson has improved as a pass blocker. I think it’s what I stated above. But Jackson has been a key part of that run game.

I also see Mcvay/Stafford calling less long developing pass plays. Lots of short pass game calls.

I don't disagree with that but it's the first time I have seen you post $65M.

That would be opening-up an additional $20-25M. I don't consider that to be ridiculous at all.

In quite a few other posts, I have seen you reference the $100M with Simple Restructures.

So maybe, we are not so far apart after all. I do expect the Rams to be active, and have some cap flexibility.

Great posts. I have enjoyed your conversation, but wonder whether we need to spend that kind of money on FA [outside of signing our own, such as Dotson and Shelton]? We proved this year the value of patience in FA including signing players after the draft. One thing is for certain, the draft looks promising. Importantly, the positions where we need the most help appear stacked across the top 75 to 100 players.

"A look at how each group stacks up in what, overall, is one of the strongest draft classes in recent memory"

I favour being at least somewhat conservative so that we can open up a 5 to 6-year window beyond this so far great - exciting! - season. I would include the possibility of trading picks for players but FA is pretty deep at positions such as Edge OT Guard Center

$65 million is a lot of money to put on the books. My question is, do we need to spend anywhere near that much to open up a long window of contending in the NFC?

I just don't see a 5-6 year window being the thing. I think it's 2-3.
But, I get your perspective.

Me, I'm all-in this offseason.
