At some point people are going to have to realize that an offense runs with 11 people and stop placing the blame on the quarterback.
Maybe....but he's got to be given time to really run Cig's offense....So I ask. Is he the guy?
I didn't see this....Seemed to stop and go...nothing continuous...And really showed with the lack of 3rd down conversions....Which is really troubling. For the most part, the offense moved the ball quite well, but had their drives stalled due to drops on well placed passes.
His line and playmakers just suck.
yesterday was Bradfordesque. Victim of drops, untimely penalties and poor oline blocking
Admittedly early, the O-Line is playing like crap,
I thought he had plenty of time...not 10 seconds...but plenty of time....I still wonder what is going on with some of the wrs? Is he able to locate them..look through his progressions?Ram with a bad OL and no running game. When Foles has been given time, he makes some big throws
I included all these comments and wanted to address them....Our line pass blocked WELL yesterday....don't include the running game...not the penalties...Just pass blocking and TO ME, they did well...Much better than against the Seahawks....That passing offense didn't succeed for other reasons...drops, unable to locate receivers, unable to separate from defenders....unable to tell. And that's why IDK about Foles....Because even if he begins to become more comfortable in the pocket, that doesn't always equate to more passing accuracy...Doesn't mean he won't continue to get happy feet or use poor footwork. We can't tell...Our O-line, WRs, and TEs certainly don't help, either.
It's a curse as well as a beautiful asset....I love the high deep ball, but I'd like him to bring a bunch of his throws down...Like that last one to Britt coulda been a little lowers, & his INT to Kendricks coulda been put more on a line too...just hung too long.I'm not sure I like how much he floats the ball and seems to wait to long to pass sometimes.
I truly think he could be. Again, he doesn't have to be transcendent...just make good decisions and keep the turnovers to a minimum.
It appears to me he has the player's respect, and has a great command of the huddle. He's clearly not the issue on offense.
Fixed it for ya good buddy...And I'm hoping to see a lil porn in here too...ah shoot, let me go by the booty thread to make me smile! Is there going to be anypronPORN in this thread
This is where I am at.
Anyone paying attention to the golden boy, Andrew Luck? Dude has thrown some bad looking INT's to open the season. Guess what? QB is an insanely hard position.
Nick might not be top 5 material, but he's good enough to win with as his track record in Philly demonstrates.
We need to get the man a run game.
IMO with Luck there are two issues at play, two converging drivers if you will.
First, he has played some very, very good defenses so far this year (and in his playoff games). He's not used to it so to speak. He has to get better there and I think he will.
Second. That boy needs to lose the "I can get the ball in there" mindset. It NEVER serves a QB well. I have seen many QB's with really strong arms make throws where they clearly thought they could fire it in and it gets knocked down or picked off.
He's going to have to make some changes when he plays top defenses and take fewer chances right.......
That said I'd trade Foles and Quinn and Donald for him straight up.
I guess Fisher said on the Foles INT, someone ran the route wrong. I think it's just a combo of a new offense, no great WR's, bad TE play, and soewhat decent pass proI thought he had plenty of time...not 10 seconds...but plenty of time....I still wonder what is going on with some of the wrs? Is he able to locate them..look through his progressions?
