Imo it does,but he has always LOVED hitting the PADS on the SLED.He LOVES that feeling of control.Still needs to get that head around.I spent time watching him year to year.Always the first in LINE!! The deepest unit is the defensive line. Especially if AD comes back. Which most think he will. In fact, I haven't seen anyone say they don't think he's coming back. Gonna be some kind of rotation. Garrett and Young on the ends. Stewart and Johnson giving them an occasional break. Fiske, Kobie, AD and Poona splitting snaps in the middle. Davis, Hamilton and Keenan rotating.
Thats gonna be a defensive line that can stay fresh late in games. And with teams having to keep up with our offense Garrett's gonna get a lot more pass rushes than he did in Cleveland. Imagine AD not being double teamed. Damn, here comes that boner again.

DL - great talent & depth
LB - solid starters & depth
Secondary - top talent & decent depth
OL - excellent starters, solid depth on the interior, OT depth weak
QB - no depth behind MVP
Pass catchers - great talent & depth
RB - solid talent & depth
So the only needs they have, the risk they carry into the season, is at OT & QB depth. Those needs intersect with each other as well since OT issues result in QB health issues.
So to me, its imperative that they seek out OT depth in a guy like Decker, and at least have an idea that Jimmy G or someone similar, can become available if needed or can be added very soon to start the year with the team.
Those additions really bullet proofs this team to some degree, barring catastrophic injuries hitting across the roster.
