I read that in his last year, he led the league in pass rush win rate. So if he comes back and plays maybe 30% of the snaps, he will be a beast to deal with. Imagine a fresh AD, who gets fewer doubles and no triple teams. Yikes.

Guessing in the next week we'll know what's gonna happen. or at least post August 6th after the move.
me thinks it IS gonna happen and AD doesn't do anything half ass. If he's even 80% from 2 years ago OMG this line is going to destroy teams.

I think it's happening. And I think this D is going to be fucking insane in the best way possible for Rams fans.

If Donald is even 75% of what he was, that still puts him as a top 5 DT in this league. And he'd be sharing a D line with Myles Garrett.

I really believe that AD would have nipped this by now if there was no chance.

I believe Donald has already committed to a comeback but there are 2 things delaying his signing IMO:
1 - he hates TC so he is choosing to skip it.
2 - he wants to make sure he is in football shape before he goes in front of the cameras.
Just a matter of when not if.

I'm sure it's been posted but these recent comments by McVay:

"We’ve loosely had some different timelines that are kind of temporary. I want to keep those between us, just if something unforeseen happens, out of respect for him and the situation. But I know this, things are going in the right direction, and if there’s an arrow, it’s trending upwards.”

He outright says he's coming back barring something unforeseen. Now it's just a question of when not if.

I think if AD had another All Pro pass rusher as a teammate he probably would not have retired when he did.. He got sick of all the extra attention from O linemen.
He is foaming at the mouth at the thought of a single guy in front of him,
Do it !
Its a chance to be on possibly the best D line ever.
And none of the all time D line teams had a offense as good as the Rams have right now.

I'm with Farr, who keeps saying he wants to see this if only for the science experiment.

If Donald comes back at 80% of what he was, I honestly see no reason this wouldn't be the best DL of all time.

According McVay the chance for AD returning is
becoming more of a "when". Barring a physical setback ,
AD will be on the field. And yes I too will only believe it when I

I think he does come back and will be the same Donald.

However he often takes about 4 games to be clicking on all cylinders.

So be patient.

And cross your fingers we don’t have any key injuries.
