After reading that I was thinking, if he comes out will it be the first time 2 team mates had a 20 sack season on their resume? The answer is "no". Klecko (20.5) and Gastineau (20.0) both had those in the same season (1981). And the lousy Jets still couldn't do anything with that !!!!

Every time I see a Donald workout video, I am 100% motivated to....watch more workout videos.

I remember the NY Sack Exchange, haha. Gastineau's sack dance was the first celebration of that type that I can remember. Now we have dudes celebrating basic tackles, pass break ups, etc like they just won the Superbowl...
Mostly, I just accept the inevitable changes in attitudes and behavior ... including self- celebration in sports.
However, I remain a little confused by teammates congratulating a missed free throw in basketball.
On a serious note, am I the 1st ROD member to post "C'est La Vie".
If so, shouldn't there be some type of Prize?

Seriously, I mostly agree. I understand and like enthusiasm and celebrating team victories.
I even like personal celebrations ... up to a point. If you ever watch highlights from NFL games played in the 1970s (those were my pre-teen and teen-years, which kind of shaped my love for Pro Football) a couple things stand-out to me; and one is the LACK of congratulations by teammates after a take-away. Seems odd to me.
I also think most people's behaviors and attitudes are shaped at an early age. For me, that would have been the 1970s. Sportsmanship and Respect were encouraged and even demanded. So, in my early-20s, Gastineau's Sack Dance seemed inappropriate to me.
One behavior/attitude that was attractive to me at a young age was Looking Cool ... Acting Cool ... Being Cool. Celebrating a personal accomplishment was ... Well ... kind-of-Lame, and certainly ... NOT Cool.
For a long time now, Being Cool ... or, even saying Cool, is not a thing.
Makes me another dusty-old-fart'. But, I think I still Look Cool ...
I sure do miss that culture of refereeing.
