The Ram's worst graded run defender by PFF is . . . Braden Fiske.
But, he is obviously one of the Ram's best pass rushers.
That being the case, when do you put him in the game knowing you must limit the Eagle's rushing attack?
Would Shula/McVay go 4-3 (with Reeder/other as "extra" run stopper LB and bring Lake up to be "8 in the box" in certain situations?
Would they go "5 - 3" on certain downs with Hoecht on DL and Rozeboom, Speights and Lake up? Trust DW/Spoon/Durant to take Brown/Smith one on one?
Seems to me Kobie, Verse, Hoecht, Speights, Lake , Curl and BBIII (if healthy) need to be in to stop the run. The rest is questionable.
They can't get run on like in November so something has to change, especially if BBIII is playing hurt?
Selling out to limit the Eagle's running and putting the game on Hurts' arm/management seems wise, but how exactly?
How does everyone see it happening?
It's been that way since week 3. His snaps dropped, Gallimore's and Davis's increased.Watching the Vikings game Fiske wasn't on the field as often on run downs. I think this will be the way forward
Kyren’s fumbleitis is what scares me most in this game.
Our game hinges on whether Kyren turns over the rock. He is the key here. If Kyren produces efficient yards and no fumbles, we have a chance. If he fumbles, we probably lose. This is a game where turnovers will be crucial. The cold obviously makes it worse.
To be fair to Limmer I do not believe that was a legitimate call. It seemed that the play was still ongoing and I was unable to determine whether the whistle had blown from the TV broadcast. But, agreed, we need to limit penalties, particularly dumb ones. Not only that but penalties. The Rams have had some momentum killing penalties in almost every game. The personal foul on Limmer in the Vikings game was killer and that shit needs to stop. If we do commit those penalties it's a slippery slope
Yeah that was a head scratcher. I was thinking the same thing. To be fair to Limmer I do not believe that was a legitimate call. Wasn't at all surprised the Rams won that one...not so much this week...In Philadelphia, possible snow (maybe a lot)..their O-line is not the Vikes their RB is not Barkely and most of all their QB is not named Darnold...We'll see, just don't have the same same warm and fuzzy feeling about Sunday...I kind of think this would be a REAl big upset due to the above(s)..Best chance for the Rams in my opinion is Shula dialing up some big-time D calls, another super-human outing from all the D line and getting a couple of turnovers...I don't really see the Rams running game doing much. As usual, that's why they play the games on the field, not in the odds betting windows
Would be nice to drive/score TD on first offensive drive. The Rams offense needs to play ahead (or at least even) with Eagles offense. Eagles get ahead and they with ground and pound. Their run game actually improves in the 2nd half as their OL/Saquan are seasoned vets with plenty of strength and endurance.Get up by 2 touchdowns and Philly will have to abandon the run at some point
