I'm interested in seeing how Dart performs at the Senior Bowl practices next week with NFL coaches throwing shit at him three days straight. I agree that his offense isn't a great prep for him to translate to this level. But he's been really strong under pressure and I think that reflects very well on something I prize greatly with these guys which is competitive drive. Will he be able to play fast though or will he be thinking too much. If he does well he's going to jump very high potentially. Teams need QBs.

I don't think Milroe or Leonard have enough passer in them to play for McVay. But the other guy I do think fits is Gabriel, unfortunately he's gonna need to be an outlier to succeed at his height, but if you take a shot on him late it's all good.
Milroe is interesting. One of those calls I'd let McVay make. He's a special talent. But he still needs a lot of development as a passer.

McCord had a great year and made huge strides. He'd have done well at OSU if they hadn't pushed him out. If I'm being totally honest, the hang up I have with him is the lack of mobility. After all these years with a pocket passer, I am really hoping our next QB is more of a dual threat. Doesn't have to be an athlete like Jalen Milroe, but I'd like a guy who can at least threaten defenses with his legs when they make mistakes.
I am so with you on that.
Kind of why I like Dart so much. He’s still a 75% arm 25% run type but he can make plays with his feet.

Can Jalen Milroe develop as a passer? I have my doubts. If he could be coached - again I am not sure he can - then perhaps worth investing in

What was it about Brady’s game that every team missed? It’s his ability to remain self disciplined, process and climb the pocket.

Perhaps only Dart exudes that ability though it’s tough to know before the Senior Bowl practices

Milroe very inconsistent and there are days his passing is not accurate, but he does have great leadership qualities and can single handedly take over a game. IMO, he ends up in New Orleans after the Saints trade Derek Carr.

Who’s trading for Carr and taking on that contract?
40 mill for 2025 (30 salary/10 roster bonus), 50 mill in 2026 (40 sal/10bo) non-guaranteed
Plus he has a no-trade so a team would likely have to offer a sweetener

Rumors here in New York the Giants could be interested.
