Cincinnati had no answer for Odell that day. I agree with Odell.
And if he gets coverage shifted to him then Kupp goes off. You're right they had no answer for him. And we were better with him by a lot

Rams gave Odell a physical when he came in. Rams told Odell he didn’t have an ACL. Odell said he was gonna ride until the wheels fell off. And he did.

As a Rams fan, how can you not be grateful for his sacrifice in order to help us win a Super Bowl?

He can talk all he wants. He’s not being disrespectful in any regard to the Rams. To the Bengals maybe, but who freakin cares?

This ^^^^

In addition, Bryce Hopkins has like 100ish yards in his three year career but he had 47 in the second half of the Super Bowl. If the Bengals sold out on Kupp so much that Hopkins had a career game imagine what a healthy Odell would have done. His total yards may be a bit embellished but overall he’s not wrong.

Diva WRs.......can't live with em........can't live without them.....well, you can if you have a Kupp. But OBJ was very good for the Rams. As some have said, we prolly don't make the playoffs without him. So he runs his mouth. Most of them do.

I disagree guys. I’ve heard he and his fans say many times that Odell would have been MVP of that game if he didn’t get injured. This is based on two catches in the first quarter. It’s a big stretch and bold of him to say it out loud.

He could just keep his thoughts to himself instead, or just comment on what a great thing Kupp accomplished without his support.

I'm pretty sure McVay came out and said they anticipated the Bengals trying to stop Kupp and had a great game plan for OBJ.

Whether he wins super bowl MVP or not, I'm not sure. But I do think we blow them out if he doesn't get hurt so I agree with him on that part

It's who he is. Just like you are who you are not liking his comments.

Quote from Ramsey.

"In the Super Bowl, O was really the igniter. ... If O could've kept going that game, O probably would've been Super Bowl MVP. And that ain't taking nothing away from Cooper [Kupp], but O was really living like that. He was on another level. And then knowing he was going to be a free agent, too, all of that. It's like dang, man. I hated it for him, but everything happens for a reason. And because of that, hopefully we can get him back."

I think because of who he is that he gets more credit than he deserves. He caught two passes in the first quarter. Lots of receivers have done that. It’s a stretch to say he would have been mvp.
He did say if the Bengals changed the coverage, then that would have opened up Kupp

He is saying IF (and that is a big IF) they didn't change the coverage, then he would have continued to dominate that game.

He was having a really good game up to that point.
If- exactly. If I hit the lottery then I’d be rich.
Cincinnati had no answer for Odell that day. I agree with Odell.
One quarter. No answer? Come on they only needed to change their plan. They had no answer for Kupp in that game.

It’s all speculation. But he and his friends talk like it’s a fact. The Rams did win that game without him though.

I liken it to anyone saying If. Like Deebo saying if we had another healthy QB, then we go to the Super Bowl, or the Eagles saying if we had the right cleats we win that Super Bowl.

It’s never a good look imo. It makes them sound foolish.

He's supremely confident in his own ability.

It did seem like he was on the way to a big game and it would've made winning the game easier if he didn't get hurt.

MVP, maybe. 250 yards, I don't think he'd have been close to that. We wouldn't have needed him to.

Anyway, Rams pass rush took over the game and Cooper Kupp was there for us when we needed him most. That's what really matters.

No we didn't. He played in that game. He was a huge factor in our offense in the first half and we were leading in that first half. We didn't win without him we won with him.

As I've been told many times that's what we do around here btw
Speculate

And there are a lot of people around here that speculate he was a deciding factor in our win. And we also speculate he would have continued to be a big factor the remainder of the game. His numbers probably are high but that doesn't change the fact that he was great for us in that game before he got hurt.

It might not be enough for you but I can only speak for myself and that earns him my respect. Please keep talking your talk Odell and thank you for your help in us winning a Lombardi in our magnificent stadium no less.

Frankly I'm tired of OBJ and his boasting. I mean yeah I could have been president but chose to join the Navy instead. Coulda woulda shoulda is all BS. But I don't think he is disparaging Kupp, because he knows the coverage was rolled his way. I think he was simply pointing out that he could have had a better game.

Yawn it's old news. I'd rather have Puka frankly.

I think the argument is pointless. If OBJ doesn't go down, either AD or Stafford win MVP. Neither Kupp nor OBJ are MVP at that point.

Who gives a f-ing shit about ifs and buts. What happened was OBJ had 2 very important catches. Then unfortunately he went down and Kupp and Stafford and Hopkins and snd Miller and Havenstein and 17+ other players stepped up and took control of the game and beat the friggin’ Bengals. That’s what good TEAMS do and that’s what TEAMS that are committed to the “We not Me” mentality achieve.

Two catches. Sure helped with two catches in the first quarter. It doesn’t equate to MVP no matter how you add it up.

Exactly. It sounds like when it comes down to it he’s not a We player, no matter what McVay said about him. That’s probably why his comments run me the wrong way.

Two catches each quarter
52 yards each quarter
1 touch down each quarter

Adds up very well actually.

How many games work out that way statistically? I’ll bet all my ROD dollars for this season it is less than 1%.
